The idyllic village of Warcop is perfectly placed, with the North Pennines just a mile to the north, the Yorkshire Dales to the south (5 miles) and the Lake District to the west (18 miles). The village has miles of glorious walks and bike trails, with both the Eden Valley Railway and the Carlisle to Settle line passing nearby. Warcop is also ideally situated for keen walkers following Wainwright s A Pennine Journey. The nearby village of Sandford (1.5 miles) has a welcoming pub, or you could head to the bustling market towns of Kirkby Stephen (5 miles) and Appleby in Westmorland (5.5 miles) which is home to a 17th century castle, an annual horse fair and a choice of pubs, shops and galleries. A couple of steps lead up and into this bright and airy holiday cottage. The light hallway has plenty of space for coats and muddy boots before leading you into the cosy and relaxing lounge. With plenty of comfortable seating, a welcoming open fire and Smart TV, this is a great space for you to unwind in at the end of a great day out. Exploring the ground floor further, the light filled kitchen is a pleasure to cook in, complete with fan oven and ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. The dining room has plenty of space and a large bay window allowing plenty of light in. The ground floor also has a utility cupboard and WC. Heading upstairs, there are two tastefully decorated, airy, fresh and relaxing bedrooms. The master bedroom features a double bed and plenty of storage space, while the second bedroom has a small double bed which is ideal for one occupant but can be used by two people. There s also a bookshelf lined study on this floor, with a desk overlooking Crooks Beck as it babbles along the road. The cottage has a stylish bathroom with slate flooring, a bath, a wet room style shower and a WC. Stepping outside, the enclosed back garden features a patio and a raised section with a lawn and shrubs. This is a lovely spot for a morning coffee or al fresco meal in the evening. Please note the house next door is accessed via the garden. At the front of the property is a small area with a bench and railings which makes a pleasant spot to sit and watch the stream across the road. There is on street parking available.
