There is a wealth of restaurants, tea rooms and bars provide a welcoming ambience in which to relax and enjoy the company of friends and family or get to know the locals. Some of the best walks can be enjoyed in and around Ambleside, Stockghyll Falls and Wansfell can be walked straight from the door or jump in the car or an open top bus and head towards Grasmere or Langdale where you will find some of the best walks and dramatic scenery the Lakes have to offer.
