The bedrooms consist of a king-size with en-suite, and a twin, serviced by a bathroom and a cloakroom. Outside there is an enclosed, wrap-around garden with lawn, patio and furniture, and off-road parking for two cars. This is a pet-free and smoke-free home. You'll find a shop and a pub in 0.4 miles, and Lake Windermere in 0.8 miles. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price, along with a highchair and travel cot. Connies Cottage offers a homely base for a self-catered stay to Cumbria.

Ambleside, which is located at the northernmost point of Lake Windermere, is a great starting point from which to explore the middle Lakes, with both Grasmere and the Langdale Valley also close by. There is a lot to do here, including boat tours, cruises, and water sports on Lake Windermere itself, as well as a wide variety of stores, eateries, and pubs in the hamlet to satisfy every taste. A little strip of beach and wonderful lake views can be found in the parkland at Waterhead, while a trek through the woods along Stock Ghyll will lead you to the captivating cascade of Stock Ghyll Force.
