The beaches of the north coast are just 14 miles away and also bring you into close proximity to attractions such as the world-famous Eden Project and the Victorian discovery, the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A few miles west of Polyphant, you can take in the rugged beauty of Bodmin Moor with its granite tors, walking opportunities and secluded moor-land villages. The Camel Route, a famous cycling and walking trail is just minutes from here.

Great place to explore the local area

A nice clean well-appointed cottage in rural Cornwall.. An easy drive to both the north and south coast beaches. We struggled with the Wifi, there was plenty of signal strength but the internet connection was very intermittent and slow. I had to purchase a 5 day BT Openzone pass to connect via a nearby property.

Fantastic stay in Cornwall! The cottage was perfect foe me and my 2 children. I could not fault the cottage itself, nor the facilities!! The hosts were truly lovely - nothing was too much of a bother and we were welcomed with a cream tea...LUSH! There was nothing that hadn't been thought of - fully stocked kitchen ware (even the small things had been thought of!), washing machine, tumble dryer, and a fab shared room of which beach towels, body boards, board games, books etc were all free for guests to borrow. Beautiful location, peaceful and quiet and lots to do in the surrounding areas. I highly recommend!

Yes, I would likw to say that this cottage had the best information that we have ever had in your cottages - absolutely excellent - Ulli and Lauraine were away but Pat and Jeff were more than welcoming and helpful and if it were a little nearer to where we live we would certainly visit again..

We felt this was a gem of a cottage which really met our needs.. A great location from which to tour the North Cornwall area. A very cosy and comfortable cottage with a really lovely reception from the owners (scones awaited our arrival and a really helpful pack which they produced of local walks). Returning to the cottage each evening was something to look forward to - we couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you!

This Cottage was the perfect place to stay to explore North Cornwall with its beautiful beaches, gardens and harbours full of character.. With only 30min to the northern coast and 45min to the south, you can always tailor your day out and not go very far to explore new things every day. We had a lovely welcome from the owners and some tasty scones, some milk and butter in the fridge as well to get started. The cottage has all a family needs for a stay of a week or two from a washing machine and iron up to crabbing basket and outdoor games. Really pleased and so were the children with the cars and wendy house to play in the garden. Definitely, recommend.

Had a lovely holiday at this cosy cottage.. It was clean & comfortable. Fabulous garden & pond with views over the countryside. Unfortunately it rained nearly all week but that didn't spoil our holiday there. Would recommend this place to anyone and will certainly be going back as soon as possible. Thank You Lauraine & Ulli for a lovely time. Cream teas on arrival were delicious & very welcome.

Lovely cottage with beautiful garden & pond.. Very peaceful setting. Central to most holiday resorts in Cornwall, easy access by major roads. Proprietor, Ulli, came to see if everything's ok each morning. Very pleasant gentleman. We will definitely consider going again in the future. Sheila and David Hunt

The cottage was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed.. The hosts were lovely and very obliging - and the dog was cute too. Great views over the Cornish country-side and a really good base from which to explore northern and central Cornwall. Right next to Bodmin Moor which as great too. Can definitely recommend.

The cottage was cosy and well equipped.. From the location, I was able to visit all the towns in the north of Cornwall, and I also managed to go to Charlestown, St Austell and spent a wonderful day at the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Lorraine and Ulli were very hospitable. There is plenty of seating in the large garden and a sun room to sit out of the wind. There is a large lawn area which my dog enjoyed running around when the weather was fine. I would recommend this property

This cottage proved to be a real home from home. It was furnished and equipped to the highest standard. The owners were unobtrusive but very helpful when required, and we were made to feel that our dog was as welcome as we were. All in all one of the best holidays we have taken in this country. We would not hesitate in going back or to recommend this property to anyone.

The hosts at the old Granary and the cottage were excellent and the veiws were wonderful. The local villages Lunceston and Bude were a let down but there was plenty to do if you travelled an hour or so. Bodmin jail and the Eden project was very interesting

The Old Granary was a fantastic little cottage. I went with my partner and two young children. They loved the giant garden and fish pond, and the kids toys available kept them occupied whist we enjoyed the sun loungers! The owners were great and welcoming, and provided all the necessary information and tourist leaflets. At night it was silent, and ensured a great night sleep. I would highly recommend this cottage, and I would definitely go back again.

The Old Granary is one of 4 cottages in a courtyard annexed to the main farm building so help and advice are on tap. The cottage was nipping clean and a welcome of a traditional Cornish Cream tea made the long journey worthwhile. The garden is large and spacious with a beautiful pond and relaxing conservatory, ideal for relaxing on those balmy summer evenings looking out over the moors into the distance. My 5 month old puppy managed to behave himself and seemed to thoroughly enjoy the location with plenty of room for him to stretch his legs. The Old Granary is well equipped with everything you need for your stay and is an excellent base to travel to all of the sights and attractions North Cornwall has to offer. Situated about half a mile from the A30 it gives easy access to all major routes. The major town of Launceston is only a few miles away with all of the amenities You need. The information pack is comprehensive and detailed with tips and advice on the best places to visit, especially dog friendly pubs & beaches. I'll definitely be returning for my 2014 extended summer holiday.
