"Generally very good."
The showerhead fell off several times. The biggest problem we had was finding the house after dark. It would help if the number or name was on the front of the house and so visible from the street, Kitchen was very well equipped. A bath mat for the shower would be useful as would instructions on how to turn the towel rails on. We didn't travel by car. We used Abacus Taxis who were very good and reliable. Bookings were confirmed by text and they notified us when the taxi was on its way. Thr grounds were attractive and very well maintained.

"Would really benefit from numbers on the rear of the property."
Arrived in darkness and was difficult to locate.

"The cottage was very clean and comfortable."
The kitchen was very well equiped. It had a large decking area with pleasant views of the stream and over the park. A lovely cottage in an excellent location. We woul definitely consider staying here again. Many thanks Rob

"I could not find the where to throw the rubbish out."
Clear signage on the site would have helped. The cottage itself was lovely to stay in the beach nearby we perfect and there were lots of places to visit. I would definitely like to stay here again. Thank you for the little bottle of milk and tea and coffee it was a life saver!!

"Nice comfy house."
Situated in a lovely area. Cold outside during our visit but house well heated. Only one constructive comment. Cooker markings have faded due to cleaning so difficult to set to accurate temperatures for cooking. Overall Good value for money.

"This was perfect for our needs in Cornwall my son lives not far away and so everything was perfect!"
We probably use again very clean and tidy! The only downside the parking was located on the other side of the road and on the first night we were unable to park there as there was a van parked in it

"The bathroom fan was absolutely disgusting, despite us trying to vaccum it (it needs servicing and cleaning)."
It meant that whilst showering in the bathroom which has no window, it wasn't very nice with a lack of air and will lead to damp.

"Had lovely holiday the owner has thought of everything you could need for great stay ."
Only one recommendation in winter it would be nice to have rugs by settees to keep feet warm .
So glad you had a lovely time and thank you for your feedback Your comments have been noted Property Owner

"Vacuumed light shades on arrival as every bedroom light needed cleaning."
Site in a valley so could be chilly in mornings and evening

"Excellent and well placed for the beech and the town centre but far enough away from the crowds and noise"
-
"Nice place for family ☺️"

"The Cottage is lovely and the situation it is in is perfect."
The only 2 things I would say is there are instructions for the oven in the property but the symbols on the oven controls are worn off and I couldn't work out how to use it. The hob worked fine. Also the cold tap in the downstairs did not work. I would certainly stay there again. Sitting in the lounge and listening to the stream rolling by was so relaxing.

"Really nice stay for my family."
Nice facilities, however, an on site shop would add to the experience

"Lack of basic checks, landing light faulty and many lights not working, simple jobs ie new battery in kitchen clock overlooked."
Cold tap in downstairs cloakroom not working and problems with the dishwasher..Landing light repaired very quickly and acknowledgment received of other faults to be rectified. All in all a good stay just a little more detail of checks needed doing
Thank you for your comments. As you pointed out, the light fitting was repaired within 3 hours of the fault being reported and the other issues were dealt with swiftly too. There is a 'man drawer' in the kitchen which contains spare light bulbs and batteries as these items can go at any time. Property Owner

"Lovely comfortable modern house, plenty of room, lovely decking area to sit out on."
The only problem we had was with one of the chairs in the kitchen.
Thank you for your review and we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We have now replaced the kitchen stools. Property Owner

"The main double bed needs to be updated/replaced."
It is too small for a 6 foot man and it squeaks the moment you touch it.
Thank you for your feedback. The bed has now been replaced, kinds regards Sykes Cottages Property Owner

The property
Waters Edge is a charming property perched on the edge of a stream, within the village of Gardens, a purpose built, privately owned group of properties close to the beach at Maenporth in Falmouth.
Boasting excellent onsite facilities, including tennis courts, children’s play area and an indoor plunge pool, this is a great choice for families.
The open plan living area is a bright and airy space to socialise, either on the sumptuous sofa or at the dining table over a delightful home-cooked meal.
The kitchen comes well-equipped with all you could require during a short stay, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and even a dishwasher and washing machine, so you won’t have to lift a finger when washing up!
As you tire, head to the bedrooms to catch your rest, offering a double and two twins, each neutrally furnished and completed with plenty of storage.
The bathroom is where you can prepare for the day, stepping into the bath and shower over enclosure for a refreshing rinse, or you can also enjoy a relaxing soak following a day of walking.
To the outside is a decked area with furniture, perfect for some alfresco dining on a balmy evening, along with allocated parking for one car.
As with all of the cottages, you are just a short walk from the Splash Pool and Gym.
The Village of Gardens is equidistant between Maenporth and Swanpool beaches.
Everyone loves Swanpool for the cafe, sand and swimming while Maenporth is perhaps a little more relaxed but equally as special; both offer fantastic restaurants and sandy shores so you really are spoilt for choice.
North Helford and Falmouth are perhaps the quintessential Cornish visitor destinations; a mix of beach, creek and woodland serve some of our most interesting and historic villages and towns.
Falmouth itself is home to the National Maritime Museum, visitors will enjoy an amble through the narrow streets and possibly a boat trip across the River Fal or up the Truro River.
Discover Cornwall like never before on a stay at Waters Edge.
Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.
