A very clean and well presented cottage in a quiet location. The interior decoration seemed very new and fresh and we loved the conservatory which overlooked a rather attractive small garden. There is good outside space to eat and drink outside while privacy was good and the area felt very safe. It is an old cottage which has been modified and adapted to be a holiday let in a very tasteful way and we thoroughly enjoyed our week in the cottage. A couple of points to be aware of though. The cottage does have good Wi-Fi but his is in a small village and the Cell Phone signal seemed to be poor to non-existent at times. (Some people might find this to be a plus!) . The other thing is that the cottage only has 1 bathroom and toilet. This is down stairs while all three bedrooms are upstairs. If, like us, you are of an age that requires bathroom breaks during the night it is a bit inconvenient having to trek up and downstairs during the night.

I holidayed in this cottage in 2013, 2016, 2018, 2019 and have just booked again for my 2020 holiday! The cottage is the perfect size for my family of 5 (3 small children) and we found it to be exceptionally clean on each visit. Over the years we have noticed several additions and upgrades to the cottage: new beds (the one in the childrens bedroom is now much more comfortable), redecorated bathroom (love the duck egg colour), new kitchen equipment etc. Cornwall is my favourite holiday destination as there is so much to do, even if the weather is not good. Personal recommendations are the Minack Theatre, Kynance Cove, sailing lessors at Mylor Harbour and crabbing at the Pandora Inn.

Where do I start.Smelly rug in lounge.Carpets need cleaned throughout.Cobwebs and dead flies in abundance.Stained toilet bowl.Mould around shower controls and shower.Dust between the sofa arm rests. The list goes on.They say that you get what you pay for having been charged over £900 for a week this is certainly not the case.I sent my concerns by e-mail to the owner who has not had the courtesy to reply but has gone through the booking agents.I would not recommend this property and will certainly not be booking a break with Sykes Holiday Cottages in the future.

Eldamar cottage is well situated for getting around Cornwall.. The cottage was well maintained , clean and had everything we needed to make us welcome and comfortable. It was lovely and cosy while having lots of space. It was so well equipped that we didn't want for anything. The owners have thought of everything we could possibly need. We would highly recommend anyone to stay in this beautiful cottage.

We really enjoyed our holiday at Eldamar Cottage.. The cottage was well equipped and very clean and everything was as described. The only issue I felt was that the owner is very keen on recycling, which is fine. However when we arrived it was made clear that there would be only one rubbish collection (on the Monday after we arrived) and after that we were responsible for taking any further rubbish, from the last 5 days of our holiday, to the local recycling point and if we did not do that we should remove it from the premises when we left. (No rubbish was to be left on the premises when we departed). We have never come across this policy before in any of the many properties we have stayed in. We are also keen on recycling but feel it is asking a bit much to be expected to dispose of our own rubbish. We, of course are happy to bag and bin our rubbish but do not feel happy about being expected to take our own rubbish to the dump. This was definitely not shown to be part of "the deal" when we booked the cottage and if we had been aware we would probably not booked it. I have since spoken to the owner about this and I believe she will be contacting you to put something on your website.
