It’s cosy, clean and in a lovely setting. The cottage was well equipped, had everything we needed and provided a great base for our holiday. We found the outdoor setting really pleasant and loved the pond and fruit trees.
The house is really well located, in it's own private grounds on the edge of the lovely village of Norley. Close to Delamere Forest (GoApe) plus less than an hour to Manchester and Liverpool. The kids especially loved going into Norley and playing on the asphalt enclosed football pitch at Hilltop play area next to the village hall.
We appreciated the re-wilding efforts but agree with others that the area outside the front door would benefit from some more flowers to give it a more of a garden feel.
We’d definitely come again!

3 members of my family were electrocuted and the owner John Muir did not give a toss! Not even an apology. Neither did the booking company piss poor Sykes cottages. All they were bothered about was keeping me quiet and Sykes cottages didn’t even let me write a review on there site! They are more bothered about there own financial profits than people’s safety , disgusting behaviour. I strongly advise do not stay at the stables in Nlrley/ ford sham and stay away from useless Sykes cottages. Neil Freeman
