Meols is a coastal community in the Wirral district of Merseyside, situated close to Hoylake and West Kirby. A cluster of amenities are offered in nearby Hoylake, easing a self-catered stay, whilst the village itself offers a convenience shop, the Railway tavern, a train station, and a beach. In addition to the expansive shoreline across the River Dee and the adjoining King's Gap Nature Reserve, the area is also well-known for the Royal Liverpool Golf Club, which regularly hosts The Open golf championship.
