"Not a great start to the holiday when the keycode provided did not work."
.quickly rectified. No waste bin in downstairs bedroom or en-suite ..queried with owner. Lack of hand towels for everyone , where ever we have stayed before there has been 1 per guest plus extra in communal cloakroom. Grass needs cutting ! the shower in the downstairs en-suite is very slow draining , need to stand in the shower and wait for it to drain before opening the door or run the risk of flooding the floor. its the little niggly things that can make a big difference .overall a pleasant property .
Hello, we are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. All our appliances are brand new and kitchen is imported from Italy. Our mattresses and duvets are from John Lewis, 3 in 1 all season anti allergy. For safety reasons, we change key codes for new guests and we provide the new code prior to guests' check-in time. We provide extra large bath towels for each guest and place hand towels in the downstairs toilet and the three bath/shower rooms in the cotttage. We also leave extra bath mats, bath towels and hand towels in our utility room cupboard for our guests in case they need extra during their stay. We are glad that you were able to find them without any problems after you queried it. Bins - as explained, we have three bins in the large open plan kitchen/living room (one large sensor bin, two large recycling bins) and downstairs toilet, upstairs ensuite and upstairs family shower room. We also have a bin in the game/movie room. The lawn - we do regularly mow both lawns but unfortunately the weather hasn't been in our favour in this very rainy March and April so there have been more limited opportunities than usual in between guests' stays to cut the grass, though finally we were blessed with a sunny day to do this just after you checked out. The hosts were extremely considerate and all bathrooms had liquid hand wash dispenser and shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The kitchen had most anything you need to assist you cook like oils and salts and spices. Furthermore the kitchen was equipped with most equipment u may need and even what seemed like an air fryer which I didn’t use. The cottage is very new and it is apparent. The beds were comfortable and the furniture was nicely organized and tasteful. The neighborhood was quiet with a nicely sized playground near by and a supermarket and pub all within walking distance. The closeness to London (exactly 1 hour driving to central London) is a great advantage. There is only one good sized tv in the kitchen living area, and there is projected in the cinema room which we would have personally preferred to be a Normal tv due to the darkness of the display. Overall the stay was great and I would highly recommend the place and seriously consider renting it again.
