Niels is an artist, and some of his own works adorn the walls of his characterful home. We can’t get over the bold colour scheme, it really livens up the space in a playful way. While the bathroom is a little worn, it’s a lot bigger than what we’re used to seeing in Copenhagen. And best of all, the location is excellent. It’s right by the lakes, a neighbourhood brimming with coffee shops, restaurants, and picturesque walking and jogging paths.
Home truths: *It’s a ground floor home, so the balcony isn’t the most private spot
*Special mention to TV lovers – there’s no television in this home
*The layout is a little awkward – you have to walk through the kitchen to get to the bathroom
*The bathroom is tired-looking – the radiator could do with a fresh coat of paint and the limescale with some love
*Due to it being an old building, the ventilation in the bathroom isn’t fantastic
*The kitchen is well-equipped, but the wooden countertop is very worn – it could do with an update
*The bed in the second bedroom is a bunk bed, but it's only the top that's being used
