The fireplace beckons you on colder evenings and creates a romantic atmosphere – perfect for trying Belgian beer. Having the kitchen in the open-plan living space may dissuade you from experimenting with anything pungent, but at least you can keep the designated cook company as they prepare dinner. From your doorstep, you're just a short stroll from historic sites, restaurants and bars, while the River Leie is only five minutes away.Home truths:
