Surrounded by the sort of picturesque Alpine scenery that caused Maria von Trapp to break out into song, this chalet in Salzberg has a few pleasant surprises up its sleeve. We're huge fans of the relaxation area, which comes with a pair of saunas that are great for tending to muscles sore from a day on the slopes, as well as some deckchairs with a lovely view of the local landscape. If you want to breathe in the mountain air while you do this, you can head instead to the covered balcony up on the first floor. The main living quarters can be found on this level, too. It's fair to say that the design is fairly pared-back, with a preference for simple wood finishes and white walls making for a bright and welcoming space. The muted grey kitchen has enough space to cook up dinners to fuel you up for whatever you get up to. Regardless of the season, you'll find plenty to do in the local area. In the snowy months, the nearest ski lift is just under 1km away and there are ski boot heaters in the home to keep your tootsies warm. During the warmer seasons, there are plenty of walking and cycling routes to be discovered, as well as Zeller See Lake only a short drive away.
