Holiday home Raheen is a cosy, detached cottage, situated just a short drive outside the vibrant market town of Skibbereen in West Cork and sleeps six people. This all ground floor cottage has two double bedrooms (one with an en-suite shower room), a twin bedroom, a bathroom, an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with an open fire and a utility room. Outside there is ample off road parking and a lawned garden to the front and a patio to the rear with furniture. Raheen is a wonderful holiday base in Ireland.
Area Skibbereen is situated at the heart of some of Ireland's most beautiful scenery, with sandy beaches, quiet coves, energising rivers, lakes, hills and forests all around. This market town and the surrounding area are a haven for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers. The town offers interesting shops, restaurants, pubs, the fascinating West Cork Arts Centre, Skibbereen Heritage Centre and an 18-hole golf course. Here the inhabitants pride themselves on the quality of their local produce including local seafood, meat and bread and they hold weekly country and farmer markets. A little further afield you can find Kinsale, dubbed the "gourmet capital of Ireland". Overlooking the West Cork coastline, Leap and Rosscarbery are within easy reach, as are Ballydehob, Schull and Bantry. Dolphin and whale watching opportunities, beaches and rugged cliffs are all on offer in this beautifully unspoiled area of West Cork.
Region County Cork is full of truly breathtaking natural beauty. With unspoilt beaches, historic castles, and modern visitor attractions, there's plenty for all ages to absorb and there is always plenty to see and do in County Cork.
Our hostess was extremely heplful and thoughtful.. She provided us with a lovely lunch on arrival and also provided us with a dinner on the first day as she knew we would be too tired to cook. The house was lovely, everything you would need and lovely scenerary. Would go back again.

The hosts were excellent and the hospitality exceeded expectations.. Thank you very much, we could not have asked for more.
Nice and beautiful place for family.. Great place to meet friends for BBQ.
Excellent choice of cottage.. Superb welcome pack and very welcoming friendly owners.
Welcome pack was unexpected & excellent.. House was very comfortable, spacious & clean
Kitchen equipment was not quite of the same standard as the rest if the bungalow.

The welcome was really outstanding.. There was a full tea on the table which included sandwiches, scones and cake and there was a bottle of wine in the fridge in addition to milk and butter. Jane Anne was very attentive and very welcoming.
The conservatory was very comfortable and from the windows there was a full panorama of sloping fields in which lived 90 cows. The view was amazing and kept us fascinated for a week with the daily routine of the cows and the farm opposite.
We loved the cottage and the area and had a full week doing the "Wild Atlantic Way" from Glengarriff to Tramore... This completed our mission to do the whole route from north to south over four weeks in four years. If we were to return anywhere it would be to Raheen.
Very friendly owner of cottage very helpful nothing was to much for them perfectly situated
The property was really a home away from home and the owners of the property really gave us a warm welcome.. West Cork is a great part of the country to visit with loads to do and see which made the holiday very special for us.
