This was our first visit to Shropshire and Ragleth Lodge was an excellent base to explore the area.. Wendy and Chris made us very welcome and their annex is a very comfortable, quiet and secluded place to stay The walking in this area is excellent, varied and with stunning views; some steep climbs but not too high. Four days we walked from the Lodge.
The bus service up and down the valley is good - reliable and with friendly and helpful drivers. Church Stretton had a good butcher, baker, deli, small supermarket and a market on Thursdays. The Ragleth Arms in Little Stretton serves good food and beer and the Monday evening special was packed. All in all an excellent holiday - made by amazing weather
