When you reach the sea you stop. Beach style family home. Plenty of local places of interest to visit or walks for all levels within short drive. Three double bedrooms, large lounge with games, real fires, washing machine, small back yard catches sun in morning, large family kitchen. Friendly and helpful owners. Local pubs in walking distance and shingle small beach - sandy beaches and ice cream a short drive.

The cottage was lovely.. We had a few issues with the washing machine and heating times which were fixed straight away. Kathleen was lovely and very helpful. The beds are the most comfortable we have experienced renting. Would love to go back. Kitchen needs more crockery chopping boards and and better roasting tins and frying pans.

From booking the holiday through the Sykes website through to checkout, everything was perfect! We collected the keys from Kathleen who was full of great information about the area and where to eat etc. The house was perfect for us (2 adults and two kids), Spotless and great facilities. I wasn’t surprised to see there is limited availability in the summer and we will definitely return again.

Knowing that by late September some of the local attractions would not be opened would have been helpful

What a lovely surprise.. Cottage was lovely, the photos didn't do it justice and it was much bigger than we'd realised. Everything we needed was catered for. Lovely location. Lovely little cove. We went crabbing literally outside the door. Easy reach of lots of places to explore.

Lovely cottage, ideal location.. Pity the village inn stops serving food at 6pm but not far to other places. A little cold in the house at times. Loved the ferry and area.

Lovely cottage.. Enjoyed our stay. Could do with a shower over the bath. Slightly spoilt at the end of the holiday having to take our one bag of rubbish a couple of miles up the road to pay 7 Euro to dispose of it.

A very good cottage cottage right on the water, wonderful views. The cottage was very clean and had all the amenities you need. Ideal for visiting Wexford / Waterford. Plenty country walks. The one draw back is that the owners expect the renters to take their household rubbish to a local shop where there is a compactor and pay for the pleasure. With the money paid to rent We believe this is the responsibility of the caretaker

Lovely cottage, spotless.. View will change from the ground floor, due to work being done on sea wall defences, but it has to be done. All the locals very friendly.

Second time visit because we enjoyed the first visit last year. Very relaxing holiday with plenty to do if needed. The Irish people have got to be the friendliest people you can meet and that makes the holiday.

The cottage was lovely - spotlessly clean, lovingly decorated and welcoming; it was clear that the owners took great care and pride in it. The attention to detail was fantastic - virtually every need was anticipated and catered for. The location was great to explore South East Ireland and we generally felt comfortable and relaxed in this home from home.

An absolutely perfect cottage, couldn't fault it in any way, every age was catered for. It was lovely to walk 20ft to table and chairs with or without a drink and watch the little quay come to life, children safe and for adults wanting to relax, it is beautiful.

We stayed here at the end of October, the cottage is lovely, a wonderful combination of old world charm and modern facilities. You are right by the waters edge and our little boy had a great time on the small piece of pebble beach just 50 meters from the cottage. Furnishings and equipment provided are just right, and there is ample space for 2 families (1 child each) to stay in comfort. We will definitely return.

Six adults and two children stayed for a week. Had a fabulous holiday in this beautiful cottage. everything you could want was provided to a very high standard. Short walk to 2 pubs and a restaurant....or just use the BBQ. Brilliant local shop or a 2 minute drive to the supermarket. Lots of fabulous locations nearby, would highly recommend and will definitely go back.

This was our first holiday with our little baby so we were apprehensive but it surpassed all expectations. The house was fabulous, was very well equipped for a family with a baby. High chair and travel cot were provided which was great. Plenty of room to house a pram. More than enough space for a family, furnishings perfect for holiday let. Nice a clean. Our view was Lovely, weather was amazing so we had breakfast on the bench outside the house overlooking the bay most mornings...idyllic. Beach outside the front door isn't a sandy beach although there are amazing beaches very nearby. I'd definitely recommend a car to make the most of your stay. We were out playing on stunning beaches within 10 mins of leaving the house. Duncannon beach was fab...and you can park on the sand!! Perfect with a baby. Great kite surfing beach. Ate outside at dunbrody house one tea time, seemed very very popular so go early or book. Lovely food, very nice place. Supermarkets only a short car drive away. Already recommended this place to friends, we'll definitely go back.
