Lovely cottage which was perfect in every way. Cozy and quiet in a lovely location close to Leyburn. The logburner kept us warm on the colder nights. Amazing how much the owners have managed to fit into such a lovely compact cottage. Fully recommended if you want a quiet, cozy and relaxing break away from the rest of the world.

A quirky cottage in a nice location.. Everything we needed was provided, along with a small welcome pack. There are several interesting towns and some great walks within less than a 1 hour drive of the property.

A beautiful place, the hause as well as the Region! It wasn`t the first time we spent our holyday at Puzzle Cottage, actually the third one. If possible we could imaging a fourth visit. Is this statement sufficient?

Amazing, quirky cottage with an unusual layout. Perhaps not for everybody but we loved it. Amazing use of space, very well-equipped and very comfortable. Great location - Superb scenery on the doorstep and within easy reach of many interesing places to visit. Spoilt for choice for eating out - everything from pub grub to fine dining within a short drive. Lovely owner - thought of everything!

Eva, the owner, made us feel very welcome and met us at the door.. She explained the layout of the cottage, left us with a lovely welcome tray and told us of places to visit. She couldn't have been kinder. Puzzle Cottage is situated in a very beautiful area with lots to see even in wet weather. You do have to be aware, however, that the cottage is very small with a down stair toilet and bedroom on the third floor!

Staying at Puzzle Cottage was such a relaxing get away from busy London life.. The cottage is quirky, cosy and romantic and so comfortable (the sofa and the bed were super comfy and the cottage has everything you need). The cottage owner Eva was very friendly and had everything organised to a high standard. The folks in Harmby town was so friendly, we had some chats with them at the local pub and they made us feel very welcome. We didn’t want to leave! We did the Shawl walk which had amazing views. Thanks Eva and Sykes for a very special New Years break :)

Very welcoming owner.. The cottage was very clean and tidy, though with some limited facilities [no freezer/dish/clothes-washer] due to the small space in the rooms. The spiral staircases were a bit tough on my 71 year old knees, especially up to the attic bedroom. Sitting outside with a drink in a nice yard was a bonus. A very nice place to explore the Dale though and close to Leyburn's shopping facilities and puds, and quite keenly priced..

Puzzle Cottage is charming and quirky, with bags of character and snugness. We found the cottage had everything we needed for our quiet, weekend getaway; including a nice, comfy bed and plenty of ideas for places to visit and eat! We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. The patio is a little sun trap and great for sitting and relaxing in the evening. Harmby itself is a quiet little backwater and shops are only a mile away in Leyburn. We particularly loved the waterfall behind the cottage. The scenery around the cottage, and the dales are simply stunning. A visit to the cheese factory is a must, as well as Forbidden Corner! We'll be back to Puzzle Cottage for more R&R and more cheese!

The warm welcome I got from the owners of Puzzle Cottage will always be memorable. The cottage itself is small but not cramped for two and full of nice quirky touches and charm. It is also well situated.

Lovely warm welcome by owner of Puzzle Cottage. The decor of was very characterful and cosy. The location was excellent for exploring the area and the cottage itself, although there were neighbours either side, was very peaceful with no noise from next door.
