September 2020
The house was perfect for us - two couples and two dogs.. The accommodation was just right and we had everything we needed. The house was very clean and comfortable and the owners left some little extras that were kind and thoughtful. The garden was perfect for the dogs - secure, although one of our spaniels learned that he could jump the fence on our last day! We had good weather so we were able to sit out and enjoy the views. The location was great. A short walk to the beach and nice walking from the house. Further afield were great walks around Cartmel and Grange over Sands. We didn't need to venture into the busier areas of the Lakes because the countryside was lovely close to home.

Beautiful property in a tranquil setting.. The number of things left by the owner (washing liquid, hand wash, laundry detergent, games, books, etc) was very surprising and most welcomed. We saw lots of wildlife - ducks, herons and deer - which was lovely. There is lots to do locally, we went for walks from the property, as well as walking through Ford Park and up Hoad Hill. We enjoyed a lovely meal at the nearby Old Farmhouse, and used the fish and chip takeaway. Overall I great stay and would most definitely recommend to anyone wishing to stay in the area, with only a short drive to Windermere too...

The location of this house is great for coast and countryside, the lakes and Ulverston.. It quiet but convenient . It’s homely and comfortable,.the views are great, you can see the sea and the priory ,and the sunrises over the turrets of the priory were beautiful. A major plus for the house is the beds and pillows ,they are super king size and so comfortable that I wish I had one at home! Highly recommended.

One of the most well equipped, comfortable holiday cottages we have stayed in.. We were ready for a cuppa when we arrived and didn’t need to unpack first because of the ‘welcome pack’ in the kitchen - including milk. Lovely peaceful location with accessible scenic walks - through the woods to the Bay. We highly recommend Priory View and have already shared with our friends and family. We will definitely return!

An absolutely Fantabulous cottage where the owner does that little bit extra by leaving delicious biscuits , milk , tea and coffee for when one arrives .. Blankets await the furry children. I would definitely recommend this cottage and its beautiful views.

Our second stay at Priory View, and just as fantastic as the first one.. Clean, comfortable and a wonderful location - although you may to fight whoever you are sharing the cottage with for the master bedroom with its views of Morecambe Bay. Thoughtful touches (tea, coffee, milk in the firdge and even some shortbread) made for a warm welcome, execllent facilities ensured the long weekend was enjoyed by all. Already booked to come again in March.

Arrived last week not knowing what to expect and found a diamond! Well appointed, clean and comfortable home with views to die for! The owners had thought of everything even down to a carton of milk in the fridge to go with the tea bags! All we needed was our luggage, a tranquil setting next to Conishead Priory with some lovely walks, no passing traffic the silence was quite surreal. We were blessed with lovely weather which added to the holiday , waking up each morning to a lovely sunrise! I cannot praise this lovely house enough and we are already looking to returning next year.

Priory View is a little corner of wonderful nestling on the outskirts of Ulverston. The cottage itself is beautifully presented, warm, clean, well stocked and affords great views from every window. The garden is secure and there is off road parking. Its location also acts as a marvellous base for exploring the area. Whilst the owners left us to our own devices during our stay, they were very accommodating when we needed something. A short walk along a quiet lane leads to the Old Priory, now a Buddist Temple for world peace where visitors can take a look around, stop for morning coffee or even try a guided meditation. The grounds of the priory are woodland and offer a permissive walk through to the beach. The beach is pebble and mud flats so be aware and heed the warning notices. However, the stunning walks directly from the cottage are easy to negotiate and not excessively strenuous. We had our two dogs with us and found the owners genuinely catered to dog owners, plus the whole area is very dog friendly. We would also recommend a walk or short drive to the Old Farmhouse which cooks wonderful food and allows dogs in the bar and garden. A lovely stay, we would heartily recommend staying here and hope to return soon.

Beautiful cottage - everything you could possibly need is supplied & more..... Perfect for family with two large dogs, enclosed garden, dog towels etc provided. 3 large bedrooms, wish we could wake up to the view everyday!! Fabulous walks literally on doorstep, thru woods onto beach. Local area great to explore, more wonderful walks, you must walk upto Hoad monument - view is amazing!! Take the train to Windermere and hop on/off boats for the day with the all day ticket. Dogs welcome everywhere so no need to worry about that. This cottage is beautiful and one of the best I have stayed in without a doubt! Immaculate, clean and so well equipped. It has everything you need-even dog towels! we stayed here with our dogs and family and it is wonderful for walks - five minutes to the beach. So peaceful-you can get away from it all and have quality family time. It is spacious and the beds are so comfy. Views are amazing. I was very pleased that it is very well enclosed for dogs so you can relax without fear of them getting out. Would recommend a walk to the old farmers pub for a meal. And definitely walk to Bardsea along the beach and get an ice cream from Roy's van. Perfect in every way and will definitely be back again!

The location was lovely, perfectly quiet and with stunning views of the surrounding land and Conishead Priory. The house was very clean and well presented with lots of character and original features. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need even including weighing scales, an electric mixer and plastic clip lid boxes to store fridge foods. There was a washing machine, tumble dryer and all supporting items including the washing detergent. There were even things provided specifically for our dog. Super King size beds were especially luxurious and a must for us.

The whole stay was perfect, from the flowers and cake when we arrived, to the beautiful finish of the house and the pretty gardens. The setting was tranquil and stunning and we could have stayed forever. The owners had thought of everything and we instantly felt at home and comfortable. They even had dog towels! April 2014
Great cottage in a superb location. Very clean and tidy and with a big enough garden for the kids and dog. Lots of walks from the house including to the Bay Horse for lunch (a dog-friendly pub). Ulverston is a very friendly town with an excellent Booths supermarket and good facilities for families including the fantastic tennis centre and a swimming pool; a walk up Hoad Hill gives views all across Morecambe Bay. The cycle ride to Barrow also very scenic. Further afield we were very close to the Southern Lakes Fells and the Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding Shop to replace the calories we had used on the walks.
