The adjacent hotel had closed down.. Disappointing as we’d hoped to visit for drinks & restaurant. And while the main bedroom showed a double bed it seemed v small and not very comfortable

There is usually a folder provided with information about the property.. This was not located which meant for example I had to work out how to switch the heating on at the boiler. Apart from this the property met our expectations and was in a lovely location with beautiful views of the beach and coastline.

Excellent location, very quiet and great for star gazing as no lights, easy to just sit and look at the waves.. Easy 10 minute walk to the pub and beach when tide is in although quick walk down the path and cliff steps when tide out.The hall and stairs needed a bit of decorating but probably due to being late in the year and heavy usage. Balcony very slippy when wet as decking boards. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend if you can manage without wifi

We have been staying in Porth for many years and this has been our best stay yet.. Central base, with easy access for exploring Cornwall. Gorgeous walks to beautiful nearby beaches, topped by awe inspiring views of Porth beach from the windows of the house. Our family (and our collie dog) felt very fortunate to have the chance of spending our holiday in this delightful and charming property.

In general everything was very good.. The location, views, the setting out of the cottage, facilities etc. met expectations and ordinarily I would have returned to the property in the future. However, there was a lot of dog hair on the settee and on the floor of the double bedroom. A pillow accidentally fell onto the floor in the said bedroom and it was literally covered with black dog hair. I did not like this at all. Should anyone else be considering staying at the property, they must understand that the people who stayed prior to them may well have had a dog/s with them and to expect hair. People must take notice of adverts showing 'dog friendly' or 'no pets' allowed.
