Returned to Poppy Cottage after staying for a week in July, to continue exploring the area. It is clean and comfortable with all the equipment needed for a weeks stay. Plus a comfy king size bed and good shower, with plenty of hot water. Lovely views from terrace, of Anglesey and the Menai Straits. Ideally situated near Caernarfon. The pub mentioned is no longer open and I wouldn't recommend walking on the road anyway as it's quite narrow and busy! The owner is helpful and friendly. If you want wifi it's not available in the actual cottage but is in the games room next door but one. Lovely quiet location.

Great location with beautiful views, lovely friendly owner.. My only complaint really is the curtains, very thin so don't keep out the light at 430 am! But then I am a light sleeper

Poppy Cottage was in an excellent location, close to Snowdonia, Anglesey and the Llyn peninsula. There was a petrol station with a convenience store 2 mins down the road and Caernarfon was 5 mins away with supermarkets, tourist office and places to eat. The cottage had plenty of character and had recently been renovated with all mod cons, so it was warm and comfy with plenty of hot water! The owner had a selection of DVDs that you could borrow for 50p and there was also a games room - good for a rainy day! The view (when it wasn't foggy) was lovely, looking over fields of sheep and right out to Anglesey.
