Pixie Cottage is a delightful period property on one of the traditional narrow streets near the centre of Dartmouth. The cottage has two bedrooms, one double and one twin with a family shower room on the ground floor. A cosy sitting room with gas fire leads to a well-equipped kitchen. Outside is a good-sized terrace with outdoor furniture perfect for alfresco dining. Pixie Cottage is ideal for a couple or young family wanting to be close to the town centre.

Area
Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the stunning Start Bay coastline, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many popular events such as the annual Dart Music Festival, Dartmouth Food Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta. This historic town boasts interesting landmarks, such as Dartmouth Castle, the Britannia Royal Naval College, and the National Trust’s Greenway House just a short ferry ride away. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through the rolling countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat or ferry trip across to Kingswear, on to Brixham, or down the river to the village of Dittisham. For those seeking sandy beaches, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular beaches just a stone's throw from Dartmouth.

Yet again Sykes deliver exactly as advertised, the cottage was beautifully maintained and had a more than adequately stocked kitchen to make self catering simple, although with m.. And s on the doorstep cooking was kept to a minimum. The balcony was perfect for breakfast in the sun , the bedrooms very comfortable and the shower was lovely. The cottage is perfectly located in Dartmouth, pubs and shops literally 2 minutes walk away yet not noisy of an evening. We will definitely be returning and booking different locations through Sykes as we have never had an unpleasant surprises at any of our previous bookings .

Pixie cottage is comfortable cozy and quaint.. There is a short twisting staircase to the first floor and two warm and comfortable bedrooms. The decor is tasteful and furnishings of a very good standard. We especially liked the galley kitchen which was fully equipt with everything we needed and the shower room was spacious and very modern. The patio area on the balcony was a little suntrap and would be lovely in the warm weather. The pub is literally a short walk down the road as is M & S food shop. Visitors to the cottage do require a good level of mobility due to the short but steep roads to access the property and down to Dartmouth and the nearby car park where you park your vehicle with a free permt parking arrangement, this was not a problem for us. We enjoyed walking around Dartmouth, and enjoyed visits to Brixham, Paignton, Torquay, Cockington and Blackpool Sands Beach. Thank you for a lovely property to stay in.

Such and easy booking and key collection / drop off process.. Fantastic little cottage and really well equipped. Ideal for a couples break with room for a couple of little ones too.

Pixie Cottage was great, very clean and ideal for a quick stroll into the town centre of Dartmouth.. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable, would definitely recommend it to family and friends.
