The cottage is really comfortable and cosy.. We loved the kitchen and the decor in the bedrooms especially. The lack of upstairs communal bathroom is fine once you get used to going up and down the stairs at night. The location is lovely right opposite an enclosure with sheep and with walking access in to the Forest of Dean. We hired bikes from Parkend which is walking distance and our grandparents were able to explore the area using their bus passes! We had a really nice family gathering and the cottage was ideal for us. The extra living room/bedroom downstairs was great for my teenage son who didn't want to share with his mum! The people in Bream are very friendly too.

There are plenty of things to do regardless of age.. Pippins itself has a lovely little garden where you can just chill if you don't feel like doing anything. You may need to get used to sheep though as they are everywhere including sat in the middle of the road or, looking expectantly for food at the garden gate.

Pippins is a beautiful holiday let, very spacious, and had every facility we needed, and more.. The hosts left a lovely welcome tray to get us started which was just what we needed after such a long drive. Lots of things to do in the area, just perfect for a break.

Great cottage.. Woodburner was essential on what was a very wet weekend at times. Beds comfortable and the area quiet. Well located for Forest of Dean activities.

We had a super holiday at Pippins in Bream.. It was such a hot week we didn't always fancy going out with our little grandson - he just wanted to stay and play in the lovely garden or playroom. Pippins was well equipped, comfortable and clean. The only inaccuracy about the info we we're given was that the local pub which we were led to believe normally did food, didn't, and hadn't for a while as they were awaiting the start of some renovations. There were good places a drive away but it would have been good not to have to drive as it was hot and we all like to have a glass of wine. But! No worries! Thank you Mr & Mrs Stone for a super holiday venue and thanks to Sykes for your outstanding service as usual.

Pippins is a really lovely house in a fantastic location.. The cottage is very spacious and our bedroom was massive .It was very well equipped. The owners left us basics plus wine which was very well received after our long journey. As the weather was so lovely we spent lots of evenings in the enclosed garden. If we were going back to the area I would love to visit Pippins again. All in all a lovely holiday.

As reported direct to Mr and Mrs Stone, the cottage listing could do with a warning regarding the steep stairs..

Pippins is a lovely cottage: clean, cosy and welcoming.. The owners are very helpful. We had a great time exploring the mountain bike trails at Cannop and in the local woods, and enjoyed a beautiful walk around Symonds Yat. The kids loved the play areas on the green across the (very quiet) road. Overall, a really great holiday. Thanks!
