The host were very helpful.. In giving advise on where to go and what to do to fill our days we had there. The accommodation was very clean and feel like home from home, we had all what we needed from home, which was lovely. Kevin and Tracey are 2 magnificent people and the rest of the family. We fell into e with the place and would ddefinitely visit again as our children love everyday we spent there. What a beautiful place and surroundings, so close to nature is always a good thing there is nothing negative e to say about this place, wish we were still there. The Welsh people are so loving and caring and welcoming. Looking to be there next year again thanks to Tracey and Kevin.

Pheasant wood was a lovely cottage.. Tracey was welcoming and informative. The cottage was really clean and perfect for our stay. Hot tub was excellent. Views were stunning. A bigger wall mounted tv would be even better for those wet months when you can’t use the hot tub, some fairy lights on the patio would make it look magical too. A cover over the hot tub would mean it can be used in all weather and lights over the sign to the entrance of the cottages would make it easier to locate. All minor points mind as we will be returning. Maybe next time, Tracey will leave us a homemade Victoria sponge too! He He. Loved Pheasant Wood, we will be back.

We had problems with the WiFi signal it came and went regularly.. Also the twin beds were a bit narrow for a man. The bathroom door wouldn’t lock, which was awkward with two couples sharing, and the shower was very weak. However, all in all it was good value for money, and the hot tub and location were very good.

Cottage was very lovely and the owner was very good.. The only thing was it was a long drive every day to go and do things with the kids. It's more for adults due to there being nothing for kids to do nearby.

If you want a quiet getaway, this cottage delivers.. Beautiful views, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, everything you need and the hot tub was a bonus. Tracey was friendly and was on hand if you needed anything. We can recommend the Temple bar in the town for good quality food at reasonable prices.

Just returned from a fab time away with the children (aged 4 and 1).. On arrival we found Welsh cakes, milk and a bottle of wine in the fridge! Such a nice surprise and kind of the owners. A high chair and cot were provided which made things easier. There were even boxes of toys under the stairs for the kids to play with. The hot tub was lovely and the surrounding views were fantastic. At night time we ventured out into the hot tub and it was so pretty with the fairy lights. The children also enjoyed seeing the chickens wandering around. Near by places to visit were Builth Wells, where we had Sunday lunch at The Lamb and we went swimming at the local leisure centre. Another day we visited Elan Valley where we found a stunning lake and dam. Great for walking or taking the bikes. We also had tea at the Hundred House Inn which was nice too and not too far to drive. Thank you for a great holiday, I’m sure we’ll visit again. Claire and Donny.

We enjoyed an absolutely fantastic New Years break with our two young children at pheasant wood holiday cottage in Llandrindod wells! Tracey and Kevin were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Extremely friendly people who I would imagine would go above and beyond for their guests (not that we needed anything extra as everything needed was already provided!) The location of this holiday cottage is stunning and the hosts had thought of everything I feel. The kitchen and house was really well thought out and equipped. The house is very family friendly and we all adored the hot tub! I have stayed in many a holiday property and encountered problems when trying to prepare meals for example as there are items missing which I required, not the case at pheasant wood! Everything I needed was right there to hand, this makes such a difference when your away, especially during the Christmas and new year period. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and they even had beautiful fluffy towels for us. Thank you so much Tracey and Kevin for a hassle free and memorable New Years break with our family. We look forward to hopefully seeing you again in the future, many thanks, the freeth family xx

Lovely cottage, comfortable, well maintained and kept spotless.. The information and photos on website matched accommodation well. In a peaceful location with a fabulous hot tub on patio. Previously stayed at the cottage next door a few months ago and this was also to the same high standard. Would definitely book either cottage again. Thank you Kevin and Tracey for another enjoyable break!

A lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings, we will definitely be re-booking.. The views look out onto green fields full of sheep, that plus the chickens wandering around make this a real back to nature experience. The owners are also really nice and gave us some really good tips on days out. The cottages are really well cared for and perfectly clean. Little things like having tea and coffee in the cupboards, a lovely bottle of wine, a freshly made cake and sunflowers in a vase are all extra things the owners do to make you feel welcome. We stayed for a week and the standard remained high all week.

We had a great time at this cottage.. The owners greeted us on the first day. And when we got inside they showed us everything and also left us a lovely homemade cake, some beautiful flowers and a bottle of wine. We thought the cottage was really cosy. The hot tub was fantastic and just what we needed at the end of a long day of walking and seeing the amazing Welsh countryside. We loved sitting in there and watching the cute lambs running around, as well as the beautiful views. We highly recommend this cottage.
