Pen Y Maes is a stunning red brick bungalow near the town of Builth Wells in Powys. It sleeps six people in three spacious bedrooms consisting of two king-size doubles, one with an en-suite shower room and one twin. there is a lovely kitchen with dining area, a utility and a sitting area. There is also a fabulous garden outside with a barbecue, patio furniture and hot tub. Pen Y Maes is ideally for a family or group of friends wishing to explore the beautiful Powys in Mid Wales.

Area
The market town of Builth Wells is located in the countryside and makes an interesting base for a Mid-Wales break. Home to craft stores and many collectors’ fairs, this is also the ideal location for walking, pony trekking and mountain biking. The town offers an 18-hole golf course, a sports centre, and the Wyeside Arts Centre, which includes a cinema as well as many live shows. Across the River Wye lies the Royal Welsh Showground, home to the famous Royal Welsh Show, which brings an explosion of colour to the town every July, along with many other events taking place throughout the year.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Lovely spacious, clean bungalow, perfect for a member of our group with limited mobility.. Location is peaceful but not too far from the main road which is a bonus. Would stay again.

Beautiful place in a wonderful location, for a quiet, relaxing holiday, with walks on the doorstep.. Delyth the owner is lovely and makes a great welcome cake. Hot tub is fantastic. Sad to leave, will be returning soon.

We have stayed at lots of self catering holiday cottages and this one beats them all, it was very comfy and had everything that you could possible need for everyone including the dog.. Having a gate from the garden onto a public footpath over the castle ruins was fabulous, it meant we didn't need to walk near traffic which our dog is reactive to. Will be visiting again in the future.

Just had a lovely relaxing weekend at Pen y Maes. Lovely spacious house and very comfortable. Garden too is lovely with views over the countryside. Large covered hot tub in garden was added bonus. Look forward to returning.

It was so peaceful and relaxing you do not here a sound night or day and the hot .... It was so peaceful and relaxing you do not here a sound night or day and the hot tub was excellent especially after a day walking up snowdon

Lovely relaxed weekend away to celebrate friend's birthday.. The surrounding countryside and views were beautiful. Most comfortable beds and excellent night's sleep. Very peaceful and quiet. Owners left us a lovely home made cake and some organic apples which was a lovely touch

We enjoyed or stay ,it was relaxing, peaceful and all together a great break .. The hot tub was lovely , the only thing I would comment on is the fact you had to walk up some steps to get to it as it is away from the bungalow at the top of the garden ,that's ok in daylight but at night and after it rained it was a bit tricky as the steps got a bit slippery , other than that the bungalow is beautiful and comfortable .
