We have been returning to Pen Y Bont on numerous occasions over the past few years.. It is a lovely ,comfy cottage in the perfect location, dead centre of Aberdaron and just a minutes walk to the sea and all amenities. The cottage has always been cleaned to a very high standard, but with the covid restrictions the place had a deeper clean if at all possible and everything was sterile. They have hand sanitisers in the front porch for you to use and sterile wipes for surfaces. Every care had been taken to protect the customer and the villagers during these unusual times. I wouldn't hesitate to return again in the future. Well done to the owners for making our stay enjoyable and safe.

Fantastic location.. Lovely sheltered back garden area to eat. Plenty of parking space. House was clean and lovely welcoming touch of a bottle of wine. Extra shelves would help in the bathroom for wash bags etc.

The house was lovely.. So convenient for the beach & shops, off street parking was a huge bonus! Everything thing we needed was provided. You could see and smell the house was clean on arrival. We've already booked again for next year.

This is an excellent well maintained detached cottage in Aberdaron. It is close to all amenities that Aberdaron has to offer with the beach a matter of minutes away, a spar shop directly opposite and an excellent bakery / cafe a minutes walk away. The cottage has all the amenities you will need together with an enclosed area to the rear which is not only dog secure but is a sun trap. It should also be noted that Aberdaron is a dog friendly place, they are welcome in the pubs and cafes.

Having stayed in Aberdaron many times over the years and passed by Pen-Y-Bont we have always asked ourselves what it was like.. Well now we know - one of the best cottages we have stayed at in the village. Great location, very comfortable, well equipped & parking outside the front door! Our hosts lived close by and were very friendly, checking we were comfortable on arrival, but never intrusive during our stay. Bendigedig!

We had a really lovely time in this well presented property. Clean and tidy with a well equipped kitchen and the added plus of washing machine and tumble dryer (if needed!). The rear garden is enclosed making it ideal for taking our dog with us too. Really close to the beach too. Will definitely visit again. Thank you to the owners for making us so welcome.

House was in lovely position and very well equipped.. Only downside was the downstairs bedroom smelled of damp.the fan in the bathroom didnt work due to there being a birds nest in the back of it outside which my son removed and managed to get it working again. The cold tap to the bath wouldnt turn off which needs addressing . Note that was in the house expressed that the owners would call the day after arrival to sort any issues we may have but we didnt see them all week. Didnt feel the need to ring them as we managed to sort the problem ourselves. We still managed to have a lovely holiday but feel the property could do with some well needed maintenance.

This has to be the best cottage we have ever stayed in.. It was exceptionally clean, warm and equipped. The outside space and games room was an added bonus as was the use of the gas barbeque, facilities we weren't expecting, you must promote them more. The cottage was in an excellent location, just a short distance from the lovely beach which was predominantly dog friendly. Great food in The Ship Inn Resturant and great weather for September made it a perfect holiday. Thank you Wilma and Ian

It was warm and comfortable, and the games room and bike storage were a bonus. A beautiful place, so near to the beach with great cliff walks.

The overall cosiness of this property was lovely. It was so quiet and relaxed. We especially loved the log burner in the front room which was lovely as it was a little nippy late afternoon, early evening. A long breezy walk on the beach that's just over the bridge and then back to the cottage to a burning stove and a glass of wine. What could be better? I promise if you try this cottage you will love it!

The property was very enjoyable. The owners live locally and were very helpful. The property is situated in the heart of the small village of Aberdaron so was very convenient for the amenities that are available, the beach is yards away and the property is dog friendly providing you are a responsible pet owner. I would definitely recommend this property, many thanks for a relaxing week.

We stayed during October half-term and had a superb week exploring the area. The cottage is in a great location being in the village centre and about 100 yards from the beach. The cottage has everything you need, is clean, warm and obviously well maintained and provided an ideal base for exploring the local area. The local pubs, restaurants and shops provide everything you need and the local bakery has cakes to die for. Definitely one to come back to.

An absolutely great cottage to stay at. Close to all amenities and with dog friendly accommodation we were able to take our very quiet boxer on a short break for the first time in years. The property suited requirements down to the enclosed rear garden and great walks in the locality.

November 2014
The cottage was in a fantastic location, near the lovely beach with access to great costal walks. It was great that we could take the dog with us and the property was extremely clean with no horrible doggie smells lingering about. Would definitely go there again.

October 2014
It was comfortable, the décor was good and it was clean tidy. The plus side was the hard floors (ideal if you have animals) along with the well enclosed patio area and front area. It was a really lovely cottage. Aberdaron is a real jewel surrounded by stunning countryside. A pretty near perfect holiday for us! Would definitely come again.

June 2014
Well we stayed here a week from June 7th and well first of all when we arrived we were so surprised at the location of the cottage. Its literally smack bang in the middle of aberdaron! Some of my family weren't too happy about this as they wanted a cottage with sea views in a secluded area...but they quickly changed their minds. ITS SO DAMN CONVENIANT!! The cottage was spotless, they supplied us with a welcoming bottle of wine and THEY HAVE INTERNET ACCESS!! (Very rare around the llyn) the town was welcoming to us and we got to know some of the shop workers. The beach is a minutes walk away and the bus to pwllheli is right outside your door. My only criticism of this cottage was: wish there was a table and chairs at the front of the building as its quite nice to people watch the holiday makers, the deposit is expected the second day of booking (what's the point of applying for a deposit if its expected the second day of booking...you may as well ask for payment in full on the day of booking). I also wished the kitchen was a little lighter..its kinda a box room. But the convenience of the cottage overweighs most of these issues. Otherwise everything was perfect!!

June 2014
The position of the cottage was perfect for all the amenities and brilliant for my dog, all secure. Aberdaron is a little gem of a find - pubs, cafés, shops, the beach and the views are amazing and the people are so welcoming and friendly . We had a lovely relaxing time and we will be returning soon.

A superb location with a huge amount of parking. No owner personal effects makes it feel more like a holiday home rather then someone's own home. There was excellent outdoor space, great local facilities, two fab pubs and an excellent bakery.
Mrs Oliphant

I thought the locality was so good, particularly if you haven't a car as the bus stop is right outside. It was roomy and very clean and handy for beach, walks, shop, cafe's, pubs etc.
