A well equipped cottage with fantastic views.. Plenty of places to visit with young children in the local area; Welsh Mountain Zoo, Colwyn Bay and Denbigh Castle. Also within reach of Betws-y-Coed which has beautiful walks (and pram friendly). The play barn was really useful to exhaust the children of any left over energy. The owners installed stair gates at the top and bottom of the stairs ahead of our arrival which was greatly appreciated and essential with a 16 month old toddler.

Just wow! We stayed at Pen Bryn Llan for my Mum's 60th Birthday weekend and what a weekend we had - the views at this place are absolutely incredible! It was simply the perfect weekend away for all of the family - it slept 7 adults and 2 children very comfortably and all of the bedrooms are lovely and have fabulous views. It's perfectly equipped with everything you need and the whole place was just spotless. My 2 boys just loved the play barn, trampoline and the added bonus was having sheep, lambs and pigs right on our doorstep. They loved feeding the pigs with our left over fruit and veg. The cottage is fairly remote but this is what makes it so special as you can just literally switch off and forget about everything - you relax as soon as you walk in the front door. There are plenty of places to explore only a short drive away or there are some lovely walks to enjoy from the local village. We took a day trip to Betws-y-coed which we all enjoyed. The terrace is lovely - we had a lovely sunny weekend but the wind was a bit chilly but you really don't need to be outside to appreciate the stunning views - even when sat inside you feel as those you are outside. I can't recommend this place highly enough and when we have our next family gathering I will certainly be looking to book again!

4 adults and 4 young children spent 3 nights at this cottage and thoroughly enjoyed the stay.. It was a very comfortable and modern set up with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the views. The cottage was very clean and tidy. The kids enjoyed the break and had plenty of outside area to play safely. Would definitely recommend this cottage for 2 families.

This was our 3rd year staying at Pen Bryn Plan - we just love it here! ! We book it every year around the February time so we have something to look forward too over the winter period. The cottage is beautiful and the views are wonderful. The conservatory is a lovely space for us all to hang out and chill. Comfortable beds and nice facilities so it really does tick all the boxes. Mr Roberts the owner is very friendly and accommodating and even lets the children feed the pigs which the they love!! The barn is fabulous, if the weather isn't great the children can still get outside and play as it's under cover. Can't recommend this cottage enough!! Kass

Stunning location Stunning views Beautiful home Adults and children both enjoyed their time their.. The play barn was a bit with both, we were lucky with the weather so we're able to sit out on the decking and enjoy drinks which was lovely. Perfect location for exploring north Wales too, and lovely walks locally.

A beautiful house with stunning views in every direction.. The lounge and bedrooms are light, spacious and very comfortable. Definitely the most used room though was the huge dining/sitting conservatory at the back of the house. The views are remarkable and it’s a great room for large group dining. Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite warm enough to make use of the large decked area though it would be an excellent outdoor space in better weather. The games barn is huge and was well used but wrap up warm in winter months! The house is up a long track and there are no shops or pubs within close walking distance so make sure to stock up well or be prepared to drive out for dining.

We loved this place. Comfy beds, beautiful views. Sat nav brings you on really narrow lanes, we found coming off a55 at st asaph and coming through henllan a much easier route. The farm supplies fresh eggs for a price and we can really highly recommend these. Just be very careful on stoney path leading to house as we experienced a popped tyre. Great place to stay and visit surrounding welsh countryside.

The cottage is in the most amazing location, with views from every window.. We enjoyed watching the buzzards and getting to know some of the sheep. Pen Bryn Llan is a very comfortable cottage being well equipped and clean. There are some stunning walks straight from the front door. The pigs and chickens are a joy. The local pub, The Hawk and Buckle, serves good food and a wonderful crumble. Having stayed in many cottages in the UK, this one is my favourite.

Lovely location, beautiful scenery.. The children loved the freedom of the paddock and the play barn was a lovely touch to ensure the children didn't get bored. Mr Roberts wad extremely friendly and more than happy to allow us to feed the little pigs and chickens which again the children took an immense amount of pleasure in. The house itself was spotless, good facilities with a well equipped kitchen. Would definitely return :)

We were a family of six adults staying in the house for three nights to celebrate my birthday with family nearby visiting.. The house is delightful with everything you would need, high quality appliances and a lot of attention to detail. It has been very well designed and is spotlessly clean. There are fantastic views and it is literally in the middle of nowhere. There are plenty of lovely walks around the beautiful countryside The local pub Hawk and Buckle is a short walk and serves excellent food and we were made to feel very welcome, On the way we saw the local deer Rudolf who followed us to the pub!!! The hosts Charles and Angharad were friendly and very helpful. A great place to relax and enjoy.

Booked this cottage for the weekend to celebrate my Mother-in-Laws 60th birthday.. There were 5 adults and 4 children (aged 7, 6, 1 and 8 months) there was plenty of room for us all. The older children loved the facilities in the barn and entertained themselves for hours which was a fabulous bonus considering its January and the weather wasn't great. The cottage is beautiful, the views are amazing and it's location is great for exploring. As it was my Mother-in-laws birthday on the Sunday Mr Roberts was extremely accommodating and allowed us to check out later than 10am as no-one was arriving after us. We would highly recommend this cottage and will definately be returning.

We booked this cottage for our parents RUBY wedding anniversary weekend.. We are all rally goers too so attended the wrc on the Saturday which wasn't to far away. Then we celebrated the anniversary on the Sunday was only a 3 mile drive to a lovely pub called llindir arms, very nice food and beer and very reasonably prced. We where all very impressed with the location of ghe cottage with the stunning views we had at breakfast and a wonder down to the barn for a bit if fun and games. The children enjoyed feeding the pigs too.

We stayed here in July for one week, a family of six adults and 3 kids. We found the location to be perfect for peace and quiet, a chance to get away from the busy town/city chaos. The house was spacious enough for all 9 of us, it was clean and spotless. It had all the amenities and usual items you need to a easy stay. The rooms were big and well looked after, the newer extension area of the house offered amazing views across the valley whilst being able to sit all 9 of us around the dinner table. There is an outside decking area to sit and enjoy the fresh air and views. There is a big barn that offers various activities such as badminton, basketball, ping pong, football and a big trampoline with enclosure. This kept the kids and adults entertained whilst we had free time at the house. The area is part of a farm and it's in a rural location so naturally the "road" leading to the house is very rural in the sense of it's not a tarmacked road. We all knew this and easily made it to the house in our sports/low cars with no problems ,just take your time! The farm area includes sheep, chickens and 2 pigs which the kids found very entertaining and adds to the experience of this rural off the grid location. Wi-Fi is available and free, mobile phone signal is intermittent as you would expect. Despite being a rural location it is only 15 mins to the nearest big supermarket and 15 mins to the main road. There is plenty of space for the shopping and there is even an additional chest freezer available in the barn. We found this an excellent base for days out to different areas of North Wales. Overall we found this house, the owners and the area to be fantastic, warm and charming. The owners were happy to help, and very friendly. Great value for money! We had no problems and would love to come back again! - Nik & Sabrina

We stayed for a weekend and found the accommodation very welcoming - warm (this was North Wales in December...), spotlessly clean and well equipped. The views are brilliant, and our friendly host supplied eggs from the farm. Plenty to see in the area - we spent a day at Conwy castle, and another at Llandudno - the trams and cable-car were closed for the season, but the toboggan was open! Visit, enjoy.
