We loved the location of Peggottys, the easy parking outside and the close proximity to the coastline.. The cottage was very comfortable, so much equipment, and attention to detail. Also lovely extras, like a bottle of wine, biscuits and milk there for us!

This was a lovely cottage in a quite setting.. It was an extremely well equipped cottage, there was nothing that you wanted for. The thoughtful things on arrival were very much appreciated, like the teabags milk and sugar, so you could have a drink if you hadn't got your shopping on the way, not to mention the cookies and wine. It was very central for all the things that we wanted to do in Suffolk and we had a very enjoyable holiday.

It was a very cosy cottage and had everything we needed for a lovely break.. The instruction manual was very useful and the visitors information valuable. The owners were contactable and approachable when we asked a question. We would definitely stay again as this provided a lovely base from which to travel. Thank you so much.

We found the cottage very clean and comfortable in a very quiet and peaceful location.. Not having internet was not a problem due to the village hall kindly sharing their's . Lyn & Peter were so helpful and at the end of a phone if needed and at the same time ensuring our privacy. We intend to rebook next year and will recommend this cottage to our friends and family.

Although the property was as listed, we are disappointed that the owner told us there may be a little work going on in the next property.. In actuality there were a number of workmen every day from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm, banging and sawing etc. There was also no mention of the social club opposite that had a band on the Saturday evening that lasted until 1.30 am. Not exactly a restful time

Internet connection at the property would have been useful but the option to use the facility could be found at the Village Hall opposite so it was not the end of the world.. We had a lovely stay at Peggoty's regardless.

Two of us stayed although the cottage can accommodate four. The layout is a little unusual, two single beds on the top floor, middle floor has a double bed and a large landing and the ground floor is a through room with cooking to the rear. There is a long garden with a shed and seating at the end. House and garden are both very private and quiet. Although the building itself is lovely and old it has recently been renovated to a high standard. We normally stay in National Trust cottages and this better equipped. Saxmundham has the nearest shops (about a mile and a half) and the cottage is well placed for many Suffolk attractions (Southwold, Aldeburgh etc). Best places for food we found are The Crown in Framlingham and Coasters in Southwold. We'll go again.

August 2014
Well equipped house, which the owner had given time and consideration to when furnishing it for visitors. Loved the welcome pack, a nice thoughtful gesture - which set us off on the right foot! Although the location was quiet - no shops etc - it suited us, as it was off the beaten track and away from hoards of other tourists - yet within easy reach of Saxmunden and with a good park for the children very close to the cottage.
