Partridge Cottage description

Holiday home
Designed around a courtyard, this thoughtfully converted farm building has been finished to a high standard. The accommodation is all on ground level and open plan, making it light and airy. The well-equipped and modern kitchen has a generous dining area which leads to the warm and snug sitting area with its electric woodburner-effect stove and French doors opening onto a private garden. The two bedrooms feature a stone wall and are decorated in a tranquil and pleasing style. There is a modern wet room, perfect for a refreshing morning shower to wake up for a day's activities. The cottage has beautiful oak floors and combines contemporary features with traditional styling to make this a great property for a holiday in this spectacular area.

The delightful old market town of Kirkbymoorside lies on the edge of The North Yorks Moors National Park between the towns of Helmsley and Pickering. The town has a broad, cobbled main street and it is bordered by beautiful Georgian houses and other historic buildings. There have been two castles in the town over the years and small remains can still be seen in the area. Stones from one of the castles were used in the building of the Toll House, which can be found in the centre of the town. The town has a variety of shops and eateries, and locals and visitors can enjoy the delights of the Wednesday Market. The town is close to many activities and attractions and makes a wonderful holiday centre.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

This was my second visit to Low Hagg Farm this year.. Once again the cottage was extremely clean and comfortable. There was a lovely Victoria sponge cake and a vase of fresh daffodils to welcome me, and once again I had a very relaxed enjoyable stay.

This was our second visit to Partridge Cottage and it will not be our last.. It`s a wonderful bolt hole in an idyllic location,a perfect place to recharge batteries. On arrival we had a very warm welcome from Tracy. The cottage is cosy, comfortable and so well equipped; it was a pleasure to return to after a day out.

Only gave it a met expectation due to us having stayed there before and new what to expect had we been new to the property would have given it exceeded.. the daughters visited us while we where there and one said she would like her home laid out like the cottage, the dogs are totally safe in the garden and have miles off walks around the area. we will continue to use this cottage again over the coming years.the wife likes it because the kitchen is truly set up for a person in a wheelchair and she enjoyed cooking all the meals without a struggle to reach things she needed.

Kept well informed from the time of booking.. Cottage was lovely and well situated for sightseeing in the particular area. The owner was so pleasant and willing to help in any way. Warm welcome given, complete with a vase of flowers, home made muffins and a pint of milk in the fridge to start us off.

As a disabled person it can be very difficult to find adapted property which also accept animals .. This property does that which is brilliant. It's located in a great position for the North Yorkshire moors and coast . The property itself was very clean on arrival with cake and treats for the dogs which was very nice of the owners who are very accomadating and try to please . The only downside if you can call it that is that where you park your vehicle it has a gravel covering on the parking area and driveway which is a problem with anybody with a wheelchair as you get stuck . Gravel and wheelchairs don't mix!! . But there is a more than adequate path up the side of the cottages with easy access to the cottage with ramped access. All in all this is a very nice cottage with everything you will need for a stay which I will be visiting again and would recommend to anybody able bodied or with a disability . Many thanks to the owners .

We were made to feel very welcome by the owner Tracy.. The cottage had a very relaxed atmosphere and very dog friendly which was the most important thing. We had a Christmas tree , Christmas cake and treats for the dogs and chocolates and prosecco., all left for us to feel welcome. We had some lovely walks just outside the cottage and Pickering, kirbymoorside and Helmsley are all nearby and worth a visit. We really enjoyed our stay thankyou.

Tracy and Patrick provided a warm welcome to their establishment which was much needed after a long journey. The cottage was perfect with fresh flowers, milk, some cakes and even treats for our dog! These owners seek to make their cottage as comfortable as possible and their care is obvious. It's been a treat for us as dog owners to be so well looked after.

I liked the fact my father could be as independent as possible using the grab rails in the bathroom. The living room and kitchen was set out giving maximum of space for him to walk in the cottage with his Zimmer frame. The owners of the cottage was on site to approach about any problems, they were friendly and responsive. Any problems were sorted out quickly. We have been to the property before and wouldn't hesitate to go again.
