Area
The vast and rugged Bodmin Moor, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, forms over 150 square miles of rocky landscape, with much of it declared a Site of Specific Scientific Importance. There are plenty of walks to discover, with challenging climbs up some of the tallest spots in Cornwall, offering far-reaching views towards both the north and south coast on fine days. The nearby town of Launceston, fondly thought of as the Gateway to Cornwall, can be found to the north east, with Georgian buildings set around its central square, and romantic ruins of a Norman castle at the outskirts. In the other direction, the historic town of Bodmin lies to the south west, with a host of exciting attractions including its Courtroom Experience, the Bodmin Jail, the Bodmin and Wenford Railway, or a trip to see each of the seven holy wells, which lie dotted around the town. With much to see and do, and scenery all around, Bodmin Moor is a delightful destination for your holiday.

Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.

It is always good to have a downstairs toilet rather than running up and down the stairs every time nature calls which is what we had to do, as we live in a bungalow, took a while to adjust.. Also, one of our dogs likes to wander and there are steps down from the garden he likes to explore and we couldn't relax fully because he is inclined to take himself off and had to watch him carefully (he is also hard of hearing so called him back many times very loudly) these are the only negative comments and does not take away from the peaceful, lovely setting of Pandia and the comfort and homeliness of the inside. Have stayed twice now and would definitely make it a third.

We had a great time at Pandia.. Our girls loved the freedom of the grounds and the owners were really helpful. Lots to do near by. Would not hesitate in returning

This is one to recommend.. Beautiful gardens outside and cosy comfort inside . We had a lovely week and would return another time for two weeks.

We stayed here for a couple of nights last year with our daughter and her family.. We were impressed with the tranquility of the location. Yes there was the odd aircraft but there were little or no traffic for the period we stayed , there were no sounds of industry or passing emergency vehicles. The only sound which was virtually heard for every daylight hour was that of the many wild birds which we could see in the grounds and surroundings of "Pandia Cottage". This atmosphere was the compelling reason we had to return this year. We were also grateful for the help and advice we were given by Geraldine who lived on the site in the "Rookery" nearby.

Idyllic setting in its own grounds off the beaten track yet within easy reach of North and South Cornwall coasts..
