There’s a dab of whimsy that’s just enough to charm young and young at heart. The bright kid’s bedroom features a wall mural of friendly flamingos and tropical palms, and a well-stocked children’s library and mini desk space will spark little imaginations. The rest of the home and gardens, of course, can be enjoyed by all ages – after all, are you ever really too old to play in the sandpit? When the heat of the day gets too much, dive into the pool to cool down, retreat inside for a siesta or delve into your latest holiday read on one of the sun loungers. If you can bring yourself to leave the home there’s a host of activities within a short drive – perhaps you’ll head to the shore of Rogers Beach, just five minutes from your front door, or take an adults-only trip to sample the best of the vineyards of North Fork.
