Oxbarton, a converted farm building, sits three miles from the Somerset village of Blagdon. It has two bedrooms including a king-size and a twin room, as well as a family bathroom, the property can sleep up to four people. Its interior also includes an open-plan living area with a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with a woodburning stove. To the outside you will find off road parking for four cars, a lawn area and a patio with furniture. Oxbarton is a tastefully decorated getaway, perfectly placed for exploring Somerset.

All ground floor. Two bedrooms: 1 x king-size, 1 x twin. Bathroom with a shower over bath, basin and WC. Open-plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove.

Area
Blagdon is a village in the Mendip Hills AONB. Boasting There are 17 listed buildings in and around the village, as well as a 15th century church. Its amenities include two pubs, two convenience stores and a café. Blagdon Lake offers fishing, also nearby are the Organic Gardens and a Yeo Valley dairy with a café. The Mendip Hills are great for walking and cycling, while Weston-super-Mare is 12 miles away for a day by the sea. The cities of Bristol and Bath are also close by and are worth a visit.

Astonishing lake views , very clean rooms .. Warm welcome of greeting card and tasty chocolate brownies on the table . If WIFI is provided ,that should be more convenient .The mobile phone signal is weak on the hill.

Oxbarton is a cottage of pure delight.. The conversion has been done so well and makes for a beautiful space. There is plenty of room, the decor is lovely and the furnishings and bedding etc are to a very high standard. Everything you need for a stay is provided - from luxury towels in the modern bathroom to everything you would need in the kitchen. It is comfortable, clean, well-equipped and peaceful. The underfloor heating is wonderful, hot water is plentiful and a full sized dish washer and washing machine were great. The welcome pack that was left for us was amazing and enjoyable. The owners have thought of everything and we have even bought home some ideas from there to use in our own home. The area is stunning and Oxbarton is within easy drive of Wells, Bath, Bristol, Glastonbury, Bradford-on-Avon etc and we had a chance to visit them all - there are a couple of really good grocery shops in nearby Blagdon and Churchill and loads of lovely places around to eat and drink. We will definately be booking again, we loved it there.

The lovely cottage had everything we needed and more.. A really thoughtful barn conversion equipped with a good eye for understated style and detail. Only quibble - it did only have one bathroom not two as listed. Location info was poor despite contacting Sykes - for other visitors, once at the top of Awkward Hill turn right and the driveway is almost immediately on your left by the bridle path with a timber sign. Very comfortable, very well equipped, lovely setting in countryside - difficult to find but well worth the effort - go to TOP of Awkward Hill and Oxbarton Barn is 100 plus yards away..
