Old Winery Cottage is a delightful cottage with lots of character located in the village of Golant, near Fowey in Cornwall. There are two bedrooms comprising 1 x double and 1x twin, as well as a family bathroom this property can sleep four people. There is also a well-equipped kitchen and a sitting room with dining area and log burner. Outside there is an enclosed lawned garden with furniture and off road parking for 2 cars. Located in a beautiful area of England, Old Winery Cottage is an ideal holiday any time of the year!

Area
A waterside village based on the river Fowey, Golant offers a Fisherman’s arms Pub, the Comorant Hotel and Restaurant and a retail art gallery. Inspired by many writers including the author of “The Wind in the Willows”, you can enjoy the river first hand by going on a kayaking trip. Fowey is a popular yachting village with a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants and can be found 3 miles from Golant.

Fantastic venue, clean, and homely. Lovely garden and large field through the gate to walk the dog. Owners lovely friendly and helpful. We look forward to going back there.

The cottage was clean and very spacious, had everything you needed for the stay. Beds and sofas very comfortable shower was powerful and hot, you couldn't want for more. The garden was a really good size for the dog and with the large field / orchard outside the property for our use too was excellent to exercise him before going exploring round the area. Terry the owner was brilliant so helpful booking it last minute and could not do enough for us if we asked him for some advice (find the beach, local vets if needed, different walks and great places to visit) nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend this cottage and look forward to returning soon.

Great central location for getting around many parts of Cornwall all under an hours drive.. Very peaceful and quiet location and the owner is very helpful and on hand if needed. Really enjoyed our two weeks here really nice cottage had everything we needed. Great for the dog who enjoyed walking in the adjacent meadow to the cottage. Only thing that let it down was the quality of the WiFi which was intermittent and had a very weak signal at times.

There was lots to do in the local area.. The cottage was a lovely size and extremely quiet and relaxing. It was a fair jaunt to the local pub/restaurant and along unlit roads or paths so you either drive or stay in, which we enjoyed as we entertained ourselves. There was wi-fi although it proved unable to cope at times and there was no mobile signal - ok if you want to get away from it all. The owners were on site and extremely friendly and helpful. There were some lovely walks in the area and a good area in front of the cottage for walking the dogs. We came away after the holiday extremely relaxed and had some great sleeping due to it being so quiet and no light pollution.

The Old Winery at Golant was a perfect place for families with dogs.. Our Parsons Russell absolutely loved the field opposite the property where she ran and ran. An ideal location for exploring Poldark, Doc Martin and Rick Stein territory amongst other places. A delightful place and Terry and Sarah-Jayne were so welcoming and friendly. A very pleasant week was had by all.

Excellent cottage for families or couples with dogs.. Sarah Jayne and Terry were very helpful and welcoming. Such a characterful cottage in a gorgeous setting, we really appreciated the peace and tranquility of Golant whilst being close enough to Fowey to be able to enjoy everything it has to offer. Our dog loved having her own field to play in before heading off in search of Mr Toad, Ratty and Mole along the Fowey estuary! We would love to go back and stay there again one day.

We had a week at the old Winery Cottage from 26th august.. We were greeted Very well by Terry and Sarah Jayne. The cottage was very clean and tidy.very good size rooms through out the cottage.allso our 2 dog's had a wonderful time.
