This is a lovely house good size, good standard of cleanliness. Beautiful views over the rooftops to the dunes and glimpse of the sea and beach. There is a very lovely large conservatory however unfortunately this is not a useable space in the heat of the sun. We were blessed with sun and high temperatures but no shade for the garden. Wardrobe space is a slight let down but otherwise it’s a fabulous property and we enjoyed our stay.

A really lovely house in a fabulous location.. The beach is so close and safe - our dog is really missing his walks along it! It was great to be able to walk to the Kilmarnock Arms for a meal - can recommend the food and the friendly staff. Minor grumble was that we had to defrost the freezer before being able to use it. That said we had a fabulous week and would recommend the house to others.

Old Cooperage was a wonderful place to stay, it was warm, comfortable and had great views out to the beach.. The wine when we arrived was a really nice touch. There is plenty to see and do in the local area and a meal at the Kilmarnock Arms is a must. The only small disappoint we had was when arrived the dishwasher was full and needed emptying and there was a load of washing in the machine, not major issues but not what you expect when you arrive.

This is an amazing property, clean and well equipped. I would recommend this holiday home without hesitation and the fact that you can take a pet is a great plus. The beach is fantastic and just a short walk from the Old Cooperage, the harbour is also close by. Slain castle is easily accessible and is about 30 minutes through a lovely wooded area, Kilmarnock Arms the ideal pub for a drink or very tasty food....also dog friendly. Overall a fab location and the best accommodation we have been to so far.

We booked this wonderful Cruden Bay property very much as a last minute getaway after a sad family breavement and boy oh boy were we very lucky, the Old Cooperage ticks all the boxes in regard to a holiday cottage with stunning views over the lovely sandy beach from the stunning conservatory which in a word is amazing. The remainder of this property oozes class from the lovely kitchen through the classy dining room to the lovely bedrooms, the main sitting room with its focal point fireplace is warm and welcoming. We could not fault this wonderful cottage in anyway at all and a special thanks to the owner who met us when we arrived as he happened to be in the area on that day and showed us round and also took the trouble to leave some lovely wine and a malt whiskey for us to enjoy while coming to terms with our sad loss, thank you kind sir your kindness was very much appreciated by us.

Due to a family breavement this was a last minute booking for our family and what a wonderful last minute booking it turned out to be for us, the cottage was in a word "Fantastic" in every way possible from the amazing view over Cruden Bay to the wonderful conservatory which in the sunshine that we had was a glorious sun trap from morning until evening.. We as a family would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone who is thinking about taking holidays in the area.

The Old Cooperage looked fantastic from the photographs but the cottage exceeded all our expectations when we arrived.. The house was beautifully furnished, was so comfortable and the conservatory... wow! The location was ideal for us. It was close to the beach and there are a number of areas offering different types of places to walk. We thought that we would use the cottage as a base to explore the surrounding area, but in truth we spent more time in Cruden Bay than we had planned. With three generations of our family sharing the same cottage we also appreciated the space that it offered allowing for the opportunity for the family to spend time together and alternatively find space to do their own thing. This cottage made our holiday one to remember.

Very peaceful retreat with fabulous conservatory overlooking the beach. Perfect for us and the dog. Loads of space and nicely furnished. Lots of off street parking. The use of a washing machine and drier is a brilliant extra for wet clothes if the weather is less kind. At quieter times during the week the beach was fantastic although seems quite popular at weekend's. Local shops and pub in walking distance and supermarkets a short drive away. Fantastic.

The huge conservatory was perfect on sunny days for a view of the beach or for watching the stars at night.. Very comfortable spacious house and able to enjoy it with our dog. It is nicely furnished and has ample off road parking. Extra benefits include use of a washing machine and drier and house was wonderfully warm even on the coldest February days. The sandy beach at Cruden Bay is wonderful for walking the dog but does get quite busy at weekend's. The local shop and pub were handy and locals were friendly. We didn't want to leave.

The Old Cooperage cottage is excellent.. Family of four and dog in October 17. House very well proportioned, warm, clean, well furnished. Could not fault it and the view and location are amazing. Brilliant walks, beach, harbour and castle, good local pub/restaurant. Beautiful open fire and amazing conservatory. Plenty of room for all of us and more! Further afield lots to do in Aberdeen, Peterhead prison museum highly recommended. Lighthouse museum in Fraserburgh, then Pennan, Crovie, Gardenstown and Portsoy. You will have stunning beachs to yourselves. Magical walks at nature reserve at Newburgh with large seal colony. So much to see and do and then return to a superb cottage. Highly recommended.
