This property is everything you expect and more. The sunroom is beautiful and the view is spectacular. It was spotless and cannot fault anything. We were a group of 8 and booked here for a birthday party everyone was highly impressed. The owner Carl could not do enough to make us feel welcome and showed us how to use the aga! The pool table is a great addition and I'd love to see a dartboard put in but the walls are immaculate so i understand why there's not. Credit to the housekeepers not a spec of dust anywhere My only negative was that it costs hundreds of pounds more to book through Sykes. I found out these are owned by Oakwood Lodge Park which have the log cabins on the park on the land behind the house. I've booked directly since and stayed at the other properties saving myself probably over a grand just by booking with Carl. Can't wait to return

My father booked this for the family for his 90th birthday. There were 9 of us and a well behaved dog. The place as a whole was lovely and well modernised. The Aga was scary but we all cooked on it and came to love it. I can't say enough how spacious it was, although so we could all sit in the sun room we did borrow the settee corner suite from the kids tv/play room as we were all adults. We found plenty to do locally with lots of walks and loved the red kite feeding station. Plenty if red kites of our own over the property too. The night skies are perfect for star gazing due to lack of light pollution. Hot tub only big enough for 4 really but it wasn't a problem as we didn't all want it at the same time. All wanted to stay longer and vowed to do it again.
