A superb property.. I could not find any faults with this property apart from a couple of niggles, awaiting a part for the combi boiler where I had to top up the pressure quite frequently and a slight fault with the tv as the headphone socket did not work. Saying that it did not deter from the luxurious stay.
The owner, Helen was contactable for any problems especially when the previous customers were late departing and we could not enter until 1700hrs.
The idyllic position of the lodge was superb and spent many times looking over the lake.
I would recommend this lodge to all Sykes customers with no hesitation.
Mr Vine, September 2020
Very helpful and friendly staff welcomed us on arrival, and were also very helpful in sorting a couple of issues needing attention during the visit.. The lodge is everything we expected, and even with some restrictions due to Covid, was a delightful place to stay. The view of the lake from the balcony was super and even the ducks were friendly coming for a visit regularly and a quack! Would recommend for a peaceful getaway, and some wonderful beaches and places to visit in the area. Will hopefully visit again next year.
Mr Ford, September 2020
An amazing lodge in a beautiful location.. Could not fault anything, lodge spotless with everything you could wish for. Helen the owner was amazing and made our holiday perfect from beginning to end by being so helpful and friendly.
Set in such a peaceful, idyllic location and yet so close to everywhere.Lovely beaches of Tenby and Saundersfoot 15 mins drive away. Would definitely recommend and hope to return next year!
Mrs Hiley, August 2020
Lovely very well equipped holiday chalet in tranquil surroundings.. Very comfortable and well set up accommodation with the added bonus of a hot tub. Close to Narberth and within easy reach of some stunning and relatively quiet (even in mid August) South Pembrokeshire beaches (Barafundle, Manorbier and Monkstone our personal favourites). Would highly recommend.
Mr Woodus, August 2020
We had a brilliant time, the lodge was spotless when we arrived.. It was one of the most chilled out breaks we have had, the lodge and surroundings are just so peaceful, looking out over the lake and its wildlife and a dip in the hot tub to round off the day. A number of takeaway in Narberth, which is a 15-20 min walk away and there are a number of good shops for supplies.
For somewhere a bit busier Tenby and Saundersfoot are about 20 min away, but you come back to peace and quiet and a big glass of wine.
The staff on site were very helpful and the owner very accommodating.
Will certainly be back.
Mr Brown, August 2020
Lovely, comfortable lodge in a beautiful setting.. Sitting out on the deck watching the kingfishers, heron and baby moorhens go about their business in the lake was exactly the getting away from it all we wanted. The lodge is well located, close to Narbeth and within easy striking distance of Saundersfoot and Tenby. Also, the owners made contact before we arrived and were keen to let us know that they were available should we have any issues. Fantastic holiday.

Wonderful restful peaceful tranquil what else can I say
Mrs Thomas, September 2019
Lovely lodge in a lovely setting & a great base for exploring Pembrokeshire with lots of great places within reasonable distances.. The lodge was very nice with everything you could want, & was a lovely home from home, with everything you could want, however it could do with a bit of a refresh and update as some areas were starting to look a bit tired & dated & a few small items were broken/worn which just brings the standard down a little compared with other Sykes lodges we have stayed at elsewhere. It would benefit from a deep clean as well, & the outside tidying up a little just to make the most of the lodge & the beautiful setting it is in. Apart from that there were no issues and everything was smooth and easy, from finding the lodge and picking up the keys, to information provided, and the hot tub was checked etc. daily.
A very relaxing and enjoyable break in peaceful surroundings.. A beautiful setting added to the enjoyment of our holiday. I would definitely recommend a visit.
This is a beautiful place to get away from it all and enjoy the ambiance of the setting which is tranquil and beautiful.. The hot tub is a real bonus and we spent far too many hours lounging on the decking soaking up the sun interspersed with long lingerings in the hot tub. The lodge itself is light and airy and really well presented with a homely comforting feeling. We had the best weekend there and we certainly had the weather for it. It is easy to walk into town, although didn't really find much to inspire us there except for an extremely well stocked Spa. But would love to go back - we all said we could live there!
Thank you to the great hosts for being so helpful and quick to respond to any questions.
We were greeted with a massive smile and a friendly warm atmosphere.. We were clearly told where to go and instructions including how to use the hot tub, amenities etc. It's so peaceful and quite, it's refreshing and you really do feel like you've escaped the busy hectic life of reality.
The whole accommodation was stunning along with the hot tub which was checked .... The whole accommodation was stunning along with the hot tub which was checked daily and so clean
everything about the holiday lodge exceeded all expectations it was one of those holidays that ended too quickly and looking forward to next year
Amazing lodge in a perfect setting.. Peaceful and idyllic. I would highly recommend this lodge.
This is the first time we had booked into a lodge.. So pleased, as it met more than our expectation. The facilities were brilliant, provided washing up liquid, washing powder and cleaning facilities. Even dishwasher tablets for the dishwasher machine. Marion (caretaker I think) was very informative on our arrival and gave us some information regarding the walks. We went out everyday despite the occasional rainy weather and did lots of walking. Really worth having the 2 bathrooms as we had x2 teenagers with us. The ducks were a joy for my son, who thoroughly enjoyed feeding them. The decor of the lodge was lovely and very clean. The hot tub a definite bonus and quite private and quiet. Lovely and quiet area if this is what you like. Worth if you can make it going to the national park in newport and around Martins Haven. The shops initially we read was far, but we passed different stores on our journey and brought food then ie 24 hour Tesco, Co op and Aldi. The local Fish and Chip shop in Narberth, was fresh and lovely, worth getting. Would definitely return and hope weather fairs better for us.
Fantastic lodge in beautiful, very private gardens.. Located in front of a pond with fabulous views. So peaceful and great to sit on very large balcony or in the hot tub watching the world go by. Would recommend to anyone who wants a quiet chilled out holiday which is local to the village and a short drive to some amazing beaches
You should advertise this lodge to wildlife lovers as well, on the site we saw .... You should advertise this lodge to wildlife lovers as well, on the site we saw ducks, fish and many birds including a kingfisher and birds of prey
The both two seater sofas were uncomfortable these need updating on looking through the visitors book we are not the only ones to have commented on this.. If they were updated then you would be able to relax more otherwise really enjoyed.
Oak lodge is absolutely wonderful (and actually better than the pictures).. Everything is luxurious, from the bed linen to the stylish ornaments, and includes everything you need for a relaxing stay. It is in a beautiful location, with gorgeous views of the ducks on the pond, yet also very private, with a lovely secluded spot for the hot tub (which we didn't realise from the pictures). It was exceptionally warm and cosy and we had a wonderfully relaxing stay with our two older children (so the second bathroom was a real bonus). We also enjoyed trips out to Tenby and Broad Haven, but were actually keen to get back to the lodge and the hot tub! Perfect lodge - highly recommend.
Brilliant place to go for enjoying west wales as everything is a 15 min drive max and the lodge was so relaxing and comfortable! Loved it.
Very nice management, they were there as we arrived, they let us look over the cottage, before showing us around the lodge.. Very nice quiet cottage, nice views, worth returning.
Our cottage didn't have WiFi which would have been very useful for booking and planning days out.. Apart from that the lodge was lovely.
Our second visit to this property.. Says it all!
Exceptional, excellent staff ,lodge and quiet site ,only slight fault was uncomfortable single bed mattress
Mrs Downes, April 2017
Wonderful tranquil and secluded location.. Brilliant for accessing the beautiful forest trails - we took our MTBs and had a great time. The hot tub was sublime, the beds very comfy and the lodge was both beautiful and well equipped. Limited wifi, but we enjoyed that!
Only 15 - 20mins drive to the coast.
Narberth is a lovely and well serviced little town within very easy walking distance of the Lodge.
Oak Lodge was perfect, this was the best cottage we have ever been too.

Peaceful and tranquil and in a good location, close enough to towns and attractions, but far enough away to get away from it all. The Lodge was perfect. From booking in to leaving we were well looked after. Loved the hot tub. We were VERY lucky with the weather which certainly helped.
