A contemporary, timber-framed cottage based in the village of Brixton in Devon. It provides two bedrooms; a king-size and a twin zip/link which can be a king-size on request, along with a family shower room, the property can sleep four people. Also inside there is a kitchen and a living/dining room. To the outside there is ample off road parking, a patio with furniture and a barbecue and a roof terrace with furniture and a hot tub. Northlands Country Cottage is a state-of-the-art getaway in a scenic Devon location.

Two ground floor bedrooms: 1 x king-size double, 1 x twin (zip/link, can be king-size on request). Ground floor shower room with double basin and WC. Kitchen with breakfast table. First floor living room with dining area.

Brixton is a village in South Devon AONB and within reach of Dartmoor National Park with a shop, Post Office, a pub and a restaurant plus country walks. Plymouth is five miles away, offering theatres, a shopping centre, a Barbican area, numerous bars and eateries.

Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.

Wow! What an amazing place. I was very anxious to go anywhere during the current circumstances but this place was perfectly clean and covid secure and I felt very safe, everything was in place including being provided with masks, hand sanitiser and cleaning products. That aside........ the house was immaculate, finished to a high spec and everything you could need. Incredible welcome from the hosts who were on hand if we needed anything and answered any queries. We spent many days out exploring the local area and would recommend: Hope Cove, Lydford Gorge, Canonteign Falls and Start Point (where we saw dolphins playing in the sea!!!) Then, after a full packed day of exploration it was lovely to unwind in the hot tub overlooking amazing views!!! (Our boys loved the hot tub) The local pub (Foxhound) was brilliant, lovely people, amazing food and big portions too!! (Also very covid secure). We all had an amazing stay and would definitely return! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay and explore the area. Thankyou for a much needed break.

Thankyou to David and Jackie for making us feel so welcome. We were dubious about going anywhere after lockdown but we couldn't have found a better holiday home. Beautifully clean and high spec in every way. Looking out at the sunset from the hot tub on the veranda, visiting the local pub and walking some beautiful village routes made our holiday the relaxing break we needed. We cannot fault anything. A must visit....

Wow! What an amazing place. Stayed for 7 nights and could have moved in, its simply gorgeous. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday and action packed one. The cottage has a brilliant layout, amazing view over fields and wildlife in abundance! with extra luxury touches, Alexa, massive hot tub, BBQ, patio- private all around property, tv's in bedrooms, kitchen and living area, luxury bathrobes, games and more. So clean and loved! Local pub, and takeaways ( pub amaze- proper traditional) village lovely. The owners could not have been more welcoming and friendly. THANK you So much! The cottage exceeded expectations.. My wife is obsessed with cleanliness, and the initial arrival at a place of stay is always a nervy time for me (I’m the one who always books), as her reaction sets the mood for the duration of the stay. So we were both delighted with the immaculate presentation of the cottage. The lounge area is an absolute joy to relax in, with a very comfortable almost fully reclining sofa and huge tv if you’re having an evening in. The hot tub was great to unwind in after all our days hiking (we hadn’t anticipated the weather to be so good so decided to make the most of it!). The cottage is located near enough everything but still felt out of the way and secluded. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Brixton, we would thoroughly recommend a week or longer here!

This cottage was a perfect base for our week holiday in South Devon. Myself, Husband and 6 year old son had a great week in the hot tub and playing with the mood lighting. The owners were great and have fitted this cottage out to a very high quality. There was a hair dryer and straighteners. DVD players, Blu-Ray player, TVs, Alexia and so so much more. Close enough to walk into Brixton and the local pub and fish & chip shop (both great) and tucked away for privacy. We had a great time and would highly recommend this cottage.

The toilet seemed a bit high and uncomfortable, even for my hubby whos 6ft! Beautiful house with all mod cons. Hot tub is a lovely extra luxury. Real thought has gone into making this house a wonderful holiday home. The bbq was great too, we had a couple of evenings when we enjoyed a bbq. More outside lights outside maybe a good idea and a patio heater. The sofas were very comfortable and relaxing as were the beds! We would love to stay again!

On arriving at the cottage we were met by the owners who were really nice I have a health problem and need oxygen they took delivery of this for me and it was all waiting for me in the cottage.. The cottage is down a path and is very private it is a new build and the quality of the fixture and fittings is fantastic, it has good size bedrooms and kitchen on the ground level and the upper level has a large living area with lovely views across the country side and fantastic sunsets. the jacuzzi is on the open roof top patio with patio wicker chairs again this is very private. This is a lovely place approximately 20min drive from Plymouth a lovely pub and chip shop within walking distance we had a great week and would highly recommend this place
