This was a really nice, well equipped cottage.. The location was lovely, in a small village in a valley, with a river at the bottom of the shared garden.
The cottage was well placed for exploration of the outlying fells of the South Lakes.
It was only about a 30 second walk from the pub, which had real ales on tap and great food on the menu.
Ms Calverley, September 2020
The cottage was lovely the only things that would have made it a little better would be a freezer and a more comfortable sofa and chairs.. But it was very clean and had everything else.
Mr Long, August 2020

Lovely cottage.. Great location.
Excellent instructions, easy key pick up / instructions.
Like a home from home.
We really enjoyed our stay.
Would definitely recommend No 7.
The cottage was in a great location to access other areas of the Lake District.. The village we stayed in was lovely with a small friendly pub nearby and in the mornings we were woken by lambs across the road which was quite nice.
The cottage itself was lovely and the landlord had thought of everything we'd need. The place was immaculate throughout and there was instructions for every device in the place. I would recommend staying here to anyone.
The area. Simply stunning
Beautiful cottage, everything needed to feel like a home from home.. Would 100% recommend!
The communication prior to arriving was excellent both with Sykes cottages and the owner of the property.. The cottage was lovely, the kids asked to live there.
The cottage itself was so clean, warm, it had everything we required and more. The stable door at the back of the house was lovely each morning to open the top half so you could look put and feel the cold crisp air and hear the sounds of the river.
We managed a couple of walks that were in one of the books, in thd property.
The neighbours were lovely.
Two pubs close by were very friendly and welcoming.
We had a wonderful time here x
We enjoyed the peaceful location of the cottage which was within reach of most of the popular tourist places.. The lakes and fells are fantastic to explore. We found the local people friendly and happy to help.
The cottage had everything and more that we needed. We loved the river running through the rear garden where you can sit out , weather permitting!
The location of the accommodation was ideal for all areas and was a short walking distance for two pubs.. The cottage was clean and comfortable and well equipped we will definitely be returning in the future
great surroundings and locality
can not wait to go back
The cottage had everything we needed to make it a home from home.. It was comfortable and located in a brilliant part of the lakes. I would recommend this without a shadow on a doubt.
Lovely cottage, well appointed and ideally placed for getting around the Southern Lakes.. Everything was exactly as described and I appreciated a call from the owner a few days beforehand. They have recently installed a stable door in the kitchen, which is a lovely touch for the warmer weather. The only thing that would improve it would be a small freezer - we missed not having ice for drinks. Luckily the barman at the Royal Oak, helped out in the hottest day.! Would definitely stay again, it was a great find, we especially loved the views out back.
Fabulous little cottage.. Stayed for 4 nights whilst doing some walking. Felt at home as soon as we arrived. Lovely quiet location with a pub 3 doors down. Close enough to visit all areas of South Lakeland but off the beaten track.
The location of the cottage was perfect.. Furnishings and linens were top quality. Information folder and maps provided covered every eventuality.
This is our second visit to this cottage.. It is so cosy and we love the location. The cottage is well equipped and we wanted for nothing.
Fantastic cottage to spend Christmas in. Lovely cosy place with everything you need. Great location close to many of the most beautiful places the lakes has to offer. Easy to get to. The cottage is well decorated, furnished, and equipped. The pub is a few doors away, friendly, with good food and a large open fire. We would definitely recommend for couples or a family of four.

This was a very cosy cottage, newly renovated and felt really clean and fresh. It felt like the owner had put in lots of thought to what people like in a holiday cottage. Really good shower! Great location for visiting the South Lakes. There is a local pub that is very friendly and lovely walks from the door.
The cottage was lovely, clean and nicely decorated. We liked the communal garden, the rural location, the kitchen and the bedroom best. The location was good and we enjoyed a nice meal at The Farmers Arms.
