A lovely stay had by four of us in this delightful cotttage in the Cotswolds. Ideal in terms of location along the high street, Near all local amenities and yet still quiet enough not to be in the full mix of it all when busy. Parking for two cars (one in garage and one to the rear of the car within) was very handy as parking was easy on Christmas Eve. JUts be careful as you pull in if you have a larger car as the access if tight at best. The only reason we've not given 5/5 is the cottage needed a spring clean since the last guest prior to us and the garden stated as enclosed was not, but these provided no real issue. Would recommend for a family of 4 or under. Offers all you need in terms of room within a small property for a short stay.

This is our second stay at this delightful character cottage with our family. We found everything to be clean and in order. Bread, milk, juice & cereal was provided. This is such an excellent choice for the close proximity (just a five minute walk) to the centre of the scenic village of Bourton on the Water. Everything is nearby, shops, restaurants/tea rooms, pubs & tourist attractions with the beautiful river Wind-rush flowing through the centre. I know some guests have been unhappy that there is no WiFi supplied. That said, we couldn't even pick up a signal when switching our data on so I'm sure it would not be an option anyway. I would suggest that maybe the guest towels provided need replacing? They were the same ones we had a few years back when we last stayed and are starting to show their age.

Everything was wonderful.. Lovely cottage, very quaint. Beautiful setting, and very thoughtfully appointed. Only drawback (for my 14 year old daughter) was the lack of WiFi. I personally quite enjoyed being off the grid for a week!

Absolutely fantastic cottage! very cosy and comfortable and location was great. walking distance from everything but just far enough up the high street that you dont have people walking past the window all the time. will be returning!

Cottage is ideally situated for shops, restaurants and cafes in the village.. Good bus service into Cheltenham, and train from moreton-in-marsh to Oxford and further afield. All NT properties and places of interest within easy driving distance. Our 7th stay in this little row of cottages.

This is our second time at Newbury Cottage, and we would return again.. The location is within short walking distance to the town center of beautiful Bourton-on-the-Water and the cottage itself is worn, but nice. There is off-street covered parking which is a real bonus. Be aware that the driveway (which you can see in the listing photograph) is very narrow, and between Newbury Cottage and the building next door. A large vehicle might have trouble fitting through. Also be aware that the location doesn't have a street address; only the name Newbury Cottage, which doesn't appear on Google Maps. To locate it, we used the name of the real estate agency next door: Tayler and Fletcher, which is the white building in the listing photograph.
