Tain is a historic town which dates back to the Vikings and holds ancient architecture whilst being a short journey away from the sea. Tain is home to the Glenmorangie Distillery, where they hold distillery tours for their famous single malt Scotch whisky. There's also a large golf course featured next to the River Tain with a range of courses for beginners and experts. Nearby is the city of Inverness which boasts the 19th-century Inverness Cathedral, the 18th-century Old High Church, and the Inverness Museum and Art Gallery.
