Excellent location, only a few miles from Mizen Head.. Beautiful views in every direction. House was very clean, beds were comfortable. The owners live next door, and they (and their dog and cat) are very friendly, and at the same time, they leave us alone to enjoy our holiday. Very peaceful and relaxing. Shopping: there are some small shops at Goleen, Schull and Ballydehob, but if you're looking for Aldi, Lidl, or Supervalu, go to Bantry (16 miles away) or Skibbereen (20 miles away). Bantry doesn't Aldi, but it has the other two supermarkets.

If you are looking for a lovely cozy clean house with everything you could possibly need like a big comfortable bed, an open fire for the chilly evenings, to wake up in the morning to the sound of birds , to have your breakfast in the garden overlooking the sea, a warm welcome from the non-intrusive but very helpful owners, then look no further this place has it all..

Had a lovely, lovely stay at Mudflat.. The cottage was extremely cosy with a roaring fire and spotlessly clean. Our hosts were lovely - gave us a very nice welcome and lots of privacy - invited me up for a New Year’s drink which was lovely. Will be glad to stay here again

Very warm welcome from Dan, who was readily available to advise about the various options available to us to maximise our enjoyment of West Cork.. Whilst we thoroughly enjoyed the trip, and will return, the lack of road signage throughout the region needs to be addressed at a national tourism level. We would highly recommend the Mudflat, Goleen, property which was very well presented and very clean.

Myself and my husband and two boys (aged 8 & 11 years) had a fantastic holiday in the Mudflat.. The house was cozy and very charming. It was very private with wonderful views. It is a haven for nature lovers. The owners were extremely kind and helpful and did everything they could to enhance our stay. Our Yorkshire terrier pup absolutely loved it also. She very quickly thought of the house as her own! The owners were great with her. The nearby beach is fabulous and there is plenty of places to visit that are only a short drive away such as Mizen head, Three Castle head, Barley cove. There are also lots of lovely restaurants and pubs. I would give this holiday ten out of ten for enjoyment. We had a fabulous time and would definitely recommend it to others :) We will be back. Jane, Dermot, Sam, Danny & Lola :)

The photos don't do this property justice at all.. It is just delightful, as are the owners. They were friendly and welcoming and made sure everything was fine for us without intruding on our privacy at all. The cottage is situated down a little lane with no passing traffic. Safe for dogs (who are made very welcome) and children. It is homely and has everything you need to make for a very relaxing holiday. We would recommend this property to anyone. We were sad to leave.
