These photographs are evidently 10 years old with very minimal maintenance since then. I had asked Sykes twice to investigate the previous comments relating to uncomfortable mattresses - we were surprised to find them all still uncomfortable despite two toppers provided. The House was very poorly cleaned and lacked useable kitchen equipment for our party of only 10. Hob / Freezer not fully functional, Fridge shelves broken as well as one chair which we were accused of damaging - more later. The owner was frequently on site but made no effort to rectify - on our return I was accused of soiling two mattresses / breaking a chair and taking a television remote! The suggestion was made that I make an Insurance Claim which would have been fraudulent! I have not been given any form of apology from the Owner or Sykes despite showing some considerale patience. This Property may appear good value but be AWARE.

We found sykes good however I believe the balance for the house was taken from my account several days before it was supposed have been.. The house we staying in however was not of excellent standard, it was clean enough but not spotless whatsoever, in-fact the oven was filthy! the mattresses were very lumpy and the carpets were badly stained to name a few things. the bedding was clean and the bathrooms were clean so that was good. the house is a fantastic size and the price is probably acceptable to be honest. Some other issues would be the tv is very old and therefore the picture and channel selections are poor, there was a terrible storm (storm Hannah) on friday night and obviously that is beyond anyone's control but the power went out and the owners of the house came to put bins in the garage so they would not be blown away an they didn't even offer a candle or a torch!!! and for me this is very bad service.

Fantastic Place to stay So much space for so many people Minor problems such as cooking utensils need to be upgraded.. Single beds in downstairs twin had very bad mattresses (springs pushing through) Jacuzzi bath not working No greeting pack left ( milk biscuits etc)

The written directions from Miltown Malbay were fine up to a certain point.. The Bellbridge Arms Hotel was on the right, not the left, and once we reached the school there was no sign for Kildimo (this was actually at the crossroads) so we didn't turn right after the school and went miles out of our way. We had to phone the owner to find the house. The kitchen cupboards and bin drawer were not clean but the rest of the house was spotless!

This was a wonderful house, loads of space, we were a family of 14 and we could have fitted more, lots of outside space for the kids to play in, given we had small kids a gate would have been useful but the road was very quiet.. Would definitely stay here again

Stayed here while in Spanish point for a family wedding. So close to both Miltown Malby and Spanish Point. Great house for 2 families to share plus a dog! We had lots of room, probably could've had another family share with us & comfortably too! The kids had "their own living room" while us adults had the living area in the kitchen. Great house for a large group of people. Plenty of beds and great power showers!! The wifi was an added bonus too.

Mountscott Manor is a beautiful house, in a lovely quiet rural location - a real getaway. Friendly and welcoming owner - we didn't bother them and they didn't bother us. We definitely plan to stay again.
