Great cottage.. Very well equipped. Beautifui scenery and views from cottage. Very handy and well stocked supermarket in Louisburgh. Handy for day trips to islands and into Connemara. Hope to go again.

Full detailed report given to Sykes on return home.. This cottage is in a stunning area of the country and in a clean and well appointed condition could be worthy of its 4 star rating but right now Sept 2018 I would not recommend it unless you are happy to overlook some very fundinental house cleanliness issues. The owner of this property needs to act on the comments posted in the visitors book.

We stayed here for 5 nights in total with four generations under one roof the house greatly accommodated our needs as regards open plan family area and bedrooms. The views are nothing short of stunning, you would never tire of looking out at anytime of the morning or evening. I do however have to echo what the other reviews also state for here, we had to Hoover and clean before we even unpacked, there was dust and cobwebs everywhere,in the kitchen we had dirty glasses and plates in the cupboard, the microwave needed cleaned as did the sofas. The windows were awful not cleaned on the inside or out and the whole house would need re- painted and a few new lamps and a new kettle would also benefit guests. And the outside of the house was ridiculously overgrown. This is a real pity as the house is in a lovely setting and a great base to explore from, I just think for it being a little farther out it should be a house worth the extra travel time for and in this case it simply was not. What could be a beautiful home is let down by the cleaning and maintenance. Alot of memories made in this area of Ireland for a family holiday, but I most certainly will not book this house again nor shall I use imagine ireland to book through. The house is outside louisbourgh about 15mins from louisbourgh and about a 35min drive from westport.

Gosh, where to start? Well, I always try to highlight a positive so let's start by saying the location is great. A few minutes walk to a small hotel which has a nice restaurant and bar; a few minutes drive to one of the most gorgeous white beaches with the Atlantic rolling in. On a sunny day, of which had a few, it's bliss. The house itself has bags of potential, but this I where I have to get real: to sum up, it's been 'let go'. It's extremely grubby - paint chipped, marks on walls, dirty windows, filthy BBQ with an empty gas canister even if you wanted to brave it. You get the idea? The place could do with a serious, serious cleaning and make-over. It's advertised as having Wi-Fi which was essential for me. When we arrived a note was left for us saying the previous occupants had used all the Wi-Fi credit and it would be few days before it would be back up and running. Well you guessed it, it never did come on during our week's stay. There was no hot water for the bath, strange as the shower was fine. All in all, the owner and ImagineIreland.com (through whom we booked the property) advertise luxury accommodation with Wi-Fi. It's not the former and doesn't have the latter. Would I recommend? Definitely no. Would I book through the same agent again? Absolutely not.

the cottage is well equipped and the views are stunning. the picture shows the garden tidy. it was sadly overgrown and in need of cutting back. there was a film of dust on many things in the cottage, table lamps, backs of chairs.the microwave needed a clean as did the top of the cooker. the toilet seats in both bathrooms were broken and in need of replacement. . the drain outside the front door had weeds growing out of it. the windows were extremely dirty. the insides of the window frames were dirty and in need of cleaning and painting. the outside of the property could have done with a coat of paint. The bed linen in the rooms we occupied had not been ironed. the tiles in the en suite were in need of new grouting and upgrading. I would still recommend the ottage provided the problems were addressed.

The Lodge was situated in a fantastic location and really comfortable. We wished we were there for longer as there was so much to do and see, and so little time.
