Exceptionally poor........... We're just coming to the end of our week stay here before moving to another cottage for our 2nd week and it can't come soon enough. Mollys Cottage is dated, dirty, in desperate need of refurbishment and absolutely overpriced. Carpets are disgusting, sofa is grubby and uncomfortable, chair in lounge is broken, cushions and throws look like they have never been washed............ YUK............ Plug sockets are all in the wrong place and lighting is awful. Kitchen is freezing cold. Saturday can't come soon enough. Stayed in St Just for over 20 year's now and this is by far the worst ever. Sykes need to up their game if they want my money again.

Very old fashioned. Needed a good clean. Carpets shabby. Curtain lining in single bedroom filthy. Locals very unwelcoming. Parking horrific. I could go on and on. The whole house needs an overhaul. We paid around £1000 and feel cheated.

Bed is broken. Shower does not work properly. Everything else ok but the first two issues outweighed any good points. Sleeping and washing are kind of important in a holiday cottage. 4 months for the booking agents Sykes to reply to numerous calls and emails, only to be told the owner is not prepared to offer any sort of recompense, or even an apology regarding the issues raised. Lots of similar comments on Sykes website.

The cottage itself was really quite nice in appearance and cleanliness.. What really let it down was the fact the most important things involving sleeping and personal hygiene were a complete failure. The double bed was a poor quality basic bed which had been easily broken by previous guests a year ago. It was mended using pieces of wood and screws making it look unprofessional in quality. Also there was the likelihood it could be easily broken again with rough activity. The mattress was made of a poor quality memory foam which made it impossible to either get a good nights sleep or to turn over without the bed squeaking and creaking or myself or my wife disturbing each other as the bed sagged rather badly in the middle under our combined weight of 31 stone. Furthermore, being elderly, I am 72 and my wife will soon be 70, we were unable to bath, shower and fulfil basic levels of cleanliness only with extreme difficulty. On the one occasion I tried to have a bath, my wife took about half an hour to get me out. My legs could not allow me to stand up as my feet could not get a grip on the wet and slippery plastic base of the bath, there were no handles to hold on to support my weight and I kept on slipping down. Neither of us wanted to repeat this terrifying experience! The hand held shower mixer was useless as the hot water which had very little pressure was quickly nullified by the overpowering pressure of the cold water, making it impossible to mix the two as soon as the unit was raised above the level of the bottom of the hot water tank. All the windows apart from the front bedroom we were unable to open, until unlocked by the owner.

Lovely little cottage which included all the little things you would not expect to find in a holiday property.. Would definitely visit again.

This was accommodation for guys working away from home.. The landlord very kindly let us have this cottage for a a number of weeks during the busy holiday season for which we were very grateful as a hotel would have been very expensive. Sykes were very easy to deal with and gave a very efficient service. Staff were always friendly and professional.
