We had a lovely week at Millennium Cottage.. It was very spacious and very well kitted out. The children had plenty of room to play, we did venture outside into the gardens, which were extensive, but it was very cold and one of our grandchildren is used to much warmer climates so having the space inside the cottage was great. When we arrived the house was spotless and there was a very generous 'Welcome' pack. The log fire was tremendous and when this was on, we didn't need the heating on. All the bedrooms were of generous proportions and there was plenty of wardrobes and drawers. The washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher were much appreciated additions. The only negative is that the photos show that there is a bath and there isn't, although the written information clearly states that it is two shower rooms, so my fault for not checking, but we managed with the baby bath that was provided as the children were small enough to get in it. A car is an essential requirement when staying here, as there doesn't appear to be a bus that comes through and there is only a small convenience store and a pub. Thanks again for a wonderful week, would definitely book again.

Millennium Cottage was absolutely fantastic, perfect for our needs.. Peter was a fantastic host, always available to answer any questions and very accommodating when we requested to extend our stay at short notice. Thank you for a great stay, we will bear Millennium Cottage in mind if we need to stay in the area again.

Comfortable family cottage.. Very central. All the attractions were close by which meant we didn't have far to travel. The cottage is well equipped and the kids enjoyed the games room. There is a large garden which would have been great to use if the weather had been better. You can easily imagine having a glass of wine on a summer evening on the patio. We settled for the log fire. Really enjoyed the cottage and would recommend a stay there.

Beautiful, clean, quiet, modern cottage with everything you'd expect for a great holiday.. The combined dining area and kitchen was great for socialising around the table. The beds were all very comfortable - no complaints. The log fire was an added bonus and easy to maintain. The house was actually warm and cosy enough without it but it added to the magic. The configuration of bedrooms, bathrooms and two sitting rooms proved ideal for our very mixed party of friends and family but would equally adapt to families with kids or elderly and less mobile relatives. We were there in the middle of winter so we couldn't really take advantage of the outdoor facilities - decking, gardens, bbq etc. Some nice local walks and lots to do nearby although the local seaside could do with better parking at peak times. (Christmas week for us - and couldn't get near Craster!) The convenience store in Embleton is friendly and well stocked - unlike the laughable local shop in Christon Bank! We'll definitely be back in the summer!

The ground floor shower was very poor.. I am a bath person but the rest of my family chose to use the shower over the bath, effectively giving us a one bathroom property. The beds were very comfortable which makes a change for a holiday let and much appreciated. The sofa and armchair were quite low so my husband had to sit on cushions as he has had a hip replacement 3 years ago. All in all it was a very good holiday.

Just returned from a fabulous week at Millenium cottage, the description doesn't do it justice. One of the upstairs double rooms has a nursery room attached which was perfect. All the rooms are very spacious and airy. We loved the outdoor space,, it was so much more than we expected. Loved watching the rabbits in the field at the back. Brilliant location, Tranquill where you are but only a few miles to fantastic beaches, attractions and shops.
Mrs Duthie

A great base to explore the Northumberland area. Millennium Cottage is spacious and well equipped with particular attention to detail to ensure a very successful holiday home. The accommodation suits all ages but is particularly suitable for children with its large garden, playroom and additional lounge. The information pack is comprehensive and up-to-date. The owner is easily contacted and particularly helpful.

November 2014
Excellent property and does what it says on the tin! Very well equipped and the welcome hamper a nice little extra touch. We stayed early November to visit family in Berwick so didn't make full use of the garden which looked lovely and excellent for young children to run around in safely. We stayed as a couple of just two ( we like space in and around us) and found the cottage to be all that we could ask for. Will definitely stay again next time we are visiting up north.
Mr Gregson
October 2014
Excellent location for exploring Northumberland. The property was fantastic and in a nice quite area but close enough to plenty of amenities. Overall made for a great holiday.

October 2014
Just loved everything about the house, we spent a family holiday there and it provided everything we wanted. In a good location for visiting the surrounding area, the beaches, castles and lovely countryside. It was fun to make our own entertainment in the evening and the games provided made it very competitive. The house had lots of space, would well recommend it and would stay there again.

We are a group of 7 ladies who enjoy walking. The cottage was perfect for our requirements. The kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms were excellent and the decked area in the garden with table and chairs provided an ideal place to relax with a drink after a day's walk.

A nice space for a family gathering and the cottage location meant not too much travelling to get to our favourite places. The children enjoyed the trampoline, garden space and pool table. The owner called to check everything was ok and they left linen for our second week. We hope to return to the property next year.

The hosts were very welcoming and a lovely welcome hamper with goodies. The hoe was spacious and nicely decorated throughout. Inside was suitable for person in wheelchair to get around- however steps up to property. downstair bathroom with shower (not level access)wonderful patio doors on to the decking area at the back of the house overlooking out onto the fields and garden. Lovely kitchen / dining area. Upstairs rooms spacious and again well presented. Downside was the mattresses in the rooms apart from main bedroom were not of good quality. The gardens and games area were a big bonus. Local pub food not great. Good location for exploring surrounding area and nice to come back to a warm house. Had a great time and would go back again.
