What a lovely stay we had this last week in the "perfectly placed for a pandemic" Mill Cottage. Thank you to Mike and Belinda for the very warm welcome. Thank you to Mike for helping with the hot tub and changing the gorgeous spring water, and thank you to Belinda for introducing us to Bella, the latest addition to the farm and for having the most infectious laugh. What a perfect breakaway from, "nearly time for a 2nd lockdown" life! The whole set up is perfect with Mike and Belinda on hand should assistance be needed yet there was no intrusion. My OH enjoyed setting The accommodation was on 3 floors and cleaned to a very decent standard. Towels were fluffy. House was warm. The welcome hamper was lovely, 4 farm fresh eggs, flapjacks, muesli and some lovely slices of homemade lemon drizzle cake. There was a small bottle of milk in the fridge and t-bags and coffee in the canisters which really helped on that first evening and thereafter. Altogether a lovely break and we hope to stay again at some point in the not too distant future.

Just had a week in this amazing little place with my 2 dogs and my partner. We had our own fuel hot tub which was fab, sat out in the night looking at the stars whilst boiling yourself in the tub. There were lovely walks within the grounds with fields, woods and stream. The dogs loved it. The owners lived in the house on the other side of the bridge. Very friendly and very helpful if you needed them. We arrived to a lovely hamper including home made cake, jam and a bottle of apple juice. The nicest apple juice ever! At night, there are no lights so it is pitch black which meant for amazing sleeps. I could even hear one of the dogs snoring from the room below. The sound of the waterfall at the side of the cottage is very relaxing. If you want peace and tranquility, then this is the place for you. Don't miss out, it is fabulous.

Mill cottage is simply breathtaking.. Belinda and Mike are fabulous and have struck exactly the right balance between being on hand if you need them and in the background if you don’t. Special mention has to go to Ola - the best dog host ever! If you want a magical, words can’t describe it experience, then this is the place for you! I was brought up to share which is why I’m writing this review, but really I just want to keep Mill cottage as my very own secret happy place! Thank you, Belinda, Mike and Ola... you really do make dreams come true!

Mike and Belinda who owned Mill Cottage were very helpful and the personal touches in the cottage were brilliant.. Welcome basket a lovely treat. The only downside with the area were the walks, as we like to take out dog the walks on the public footpaths were inaccesable as most of them were across farmland which was obvious the farmers didnt like you going across their land so it wasnt easy walking and not clearly signposted we decided not to bother after making three attempts on different so called public footpaths.

If you're looking for a touch of paradise then Mill Cottage at Hamlay William will not only delight you - it will exceed your expectations.. My wife, Emma, and myself travel extensively around the world but we've never found such an idyllic location before; quite simply, it's perfect. Set in a wooded valley, surrounded by rich woodland, Mill Cottage is a quirky but delightful and truly beautiful building - a lovingly restored water mill with luxuriously appointed accommodation arranged on three storeys complete with a babbling mill stream which cascades gently past virtually every window. There's also a tasteful terrace and patio with views up the tree-lined, wooded valley. The patrons, Mike and Belinda are as welcoming as could be desired - a friendly, outgoing pair of charming hosts. Yes, if you're searching for paradise, look no further!

Beautiful cottage, Wonderful surroundings! We had the most perfect holiday here! We also had a lovely welcome pack with home made goodies and treats!. Belinda and Mike made us feel so very welcome and everything you could possibly wish for was provided - comfort and luxury throughout, peace, stunning surroundings and idyllic walks plus a beautiful waterfall and hot tub - we felt very privileged to be able to enjoy a whole week here! We would love to return & would highly recommend - it's fabulous!

We had a wonderful stay at Mill Cottage - it's the most beautiful house, set in the most beautiful surroundings, and the perfect place to relax and get away from it all.. Belinda and Mike couldn't be more helpful, and they've appointed the cottage with everything you need. We struggled initially with the wood-fired hot tub (we're city-dwellers!), and should have asked for their help sooner - but just use loads of wood and it soon gets lovely and hot. There are loads of walks starting from their land - short ones and all-day ones: we particularly enjoyed our walk to Kyre Pool and back, via the nearby pub. We would love to go back in the future.
Mrs Barton-ward, May 2019

We had the most amazing time at The Mill Cottage, Belinda and Mike were lovely and the cottage itself was the perfect get away.. The waterfall made the experience even better and being tucked away into the valley you really felt like you had escaped everyday life for a few days of relaxation. I could not recommend The Baitling House more as local eatery the food was incredible and I would 100% recommend The Mill Cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing countryside getaway.

Will definitely return & have recommended the cottage to family and friends.

Tranquil location, beautiful walks on your doorstep.. The old mill has lots of character, with its own waterfall and babbling brook. Home from home feeling, everything necessity provided. Nice Inns just a few miles away with great menu’s. Many places to visit within a 15 mile radius, the Brockhampton estate recommended. Really could not of wished for a more relaxing holiday.

Excellent place to stay.. Belinda and Mike have worked together to give you everything you need. Believe me the standard is outstanding. The Mill cottage is beautiful and you will not want your holiday to end. Belinda and Mike are on hand if needed and you will feel as if you have known them forever. A most beautiful place to stay. What a beautiful cottage in a idyllic setting, we loved every minute.. Attention to detail is amazing. Welcome basket with eggs and fresh bread and treats for the dogs. The cottage is so welcoming and we felt immediately at home, lovely spacious bedroom with king size bed, the bathroom is so luxurious with slipper bath. The hot tub perfect after a day walking and sun bathing. And the walks with the dogs the best ever!. Beautiful setting with horses, sheep and chickens. Have fallen in love with this place and cannot wait to return .

The mill cottage was a perfect retreat to get away and relax.. The sound of the waterfall next to the cottage, the wildlife that came to the garden just made it a great week. With all the walks around to explore plus the hot tub to welcome you back what more do you need!
Mr Chatfield, June 2018
May 2018
This is a beautiful private spot in the countryside, lots of different walks for the dog around the acres of land around the cottage.. The hot tub is a wood fired one and does take several hours to heat up, this can be organised for your arrival for an £8.00 charge and there is some spare logs provided for further uses and then you have to pay for further logs when the ones provided have been used up. The waterfall is right next to the cottage and you can see it close up out of the windows. Overall this is a great place to get away from it all with your dog.
Mrs Thompson, May 2018

Even in an area where beautiful landscapes and stunning old houses are plentiful, Mill Cottage stands out.. As you move up the driveway the view of this old mill and its waterfall-style millrace is breathtaking. Inside, the cottage is tasteful and comfortable. It is a great centre for a country holiday and a lovely base to come back to at night. Belinda and Mike are great hosts; friendly and helpful. .

The cottage is stunning from the furnishings to the setting. It has a waterfall and stream in the garden and a fabulous wood fired hot tub which the owners set up for our arrival and then we lit when we returned from a days exploring, a fantastic way to relax with a glass of wine. The bed was extremely comfortable and due the rural setting it is pitch black at night with no light pollution so we slept very well. The bedroom and bathroom are very spacious whilst the living area is lovely and cosy but has all the facilities needed. The welcome pack had some lovely local produce and handmade biscuits for our dogs. We visited Ludlow, which is beautiful and definitely a rely worth a day out. Witley Court and gardens is a derelict stately home which is under the care of English Heritage and very interesting and Croft Castle which is maintained by the National Trust also worth visiting.
Mr Ingram, April 2018

Even though the weather was against us.. ..! As we were not able to get out further afield, the cottage was more than adequate, we felt at home, very comfortable in the luxuriously styled home from home. We were able to watch the wildlife from the comfort of the lounge. The added bonus of being able to walk in the surrounding grounds of the owners. They were very welcoming and left a lovely starter pack of local produce, nothing too much trouble. A place to visit again.

Amazing location, beautiful clean cottage furnished to the highest standard. Owners have thought of absolutely everything down to doggie towel and home made treats. Best cottage we have had pleasure to stay in in 17 years. Turn off the computer and phones, get some good food and wine and simply relax. 5 Star without a doubt!

October 2017
We spent a lovely romantic weekend here. We left our four children behind and just took our dog. The location is great with some fantastic walks on your door step. The hosts had left a welcome basket which was a nice touch, and the hot tub was ready to go. We spent many hours each night in the hot tub and had a really relaxing time. There are some nice places to eat out and local pub was great. My only criticism (and why I didn't give it five stars) is the bed is very uncomfortable. The mattress is extremely soft and my partner and I both woke regularly throughout the night with aching backs (not something we have ever suffered with before). We therefore didn't go home quite as refreshed as we had hoped we would.

This truly is a gem of a cottage. Having stayed in many cottages, we were impressed by the attention to detail that the owners have put in. Luxurious features including a huge bathroom with slipper bath and a shower that you could fit a football team into, wood fired hot tub (you'll have tons of fun firing it up) and king size bedroom. The surrounding land and walks are beautiful and well worth exploring and the waterfall beside the cottage is just magical. We spent a week here and it was a welcome, relaxing break from our busy lifestyles - I've never seen hubby sleep so much, you just can't help it surrounded by peace and tranquility. The welcome basket provided is just amazing..fresh local produce including, apple juice, cake, fresh baked bread, eggs and even hand crafted dog treats, which brings me to another point, this place is extremely dog friendly even providing a dog towel and poop bags (although we did take our own). On three floors, the inside of the cottage is refurbished to a high standard and includes everything you need for a comfortable stay including a fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher and washer/dryer. I have to commend Belinda and Mike (the owners) on their friendliness and approach-ability...nothing was too much trouble but they left us alone for all of our stay unless we needed them. An absolutely amazing place that we would highly recommend. We would definitely book this cottage again, without a doubt. You have to see it to believe it!!!

December 2016
This cottage was beautifully decorated with a luxurious finish in idyllic country surroundings.. We very much enjoyed the hot tub (please note it takes at least three and a half hours to heat up fully) and had a very peaceful break full of lovely walks. We feel it was quite misleading to say that this cottage has wifi. There is an extender that links to the router in the owner's building which seldom works. We struggled to even access our emails which proved to be frustrating when trying to look for local attractions nearby or doing something simple like checking the weather for the week. There was also no phone signal until you walk for around 10/15 minutes out of the grounds of the property which made it difficult to contact family or friends easily. Despite these things, we did have a lovely, relaxing week and would recommend this cottage for those who want to get away from everything for a while.

The last thing we wanted to do was go away for our 2 week honeymoon directly after the wedding. So instead we stayed 4 nights here to relax in late November. We brought our puppy along for 2 days. What a lovely place, we arrived in the dark a little late after a day’s rain to a warm hot tub (£8 fee for this) this place was just what we needed. The hot tub is manually stoked which although means you have to be around but this adds to the adventure. We enjoyed the fresh bread and fizz & Cake, the dog enjoyed the home made dog treats from the owners and they had gone the extra mile with a candle with wedding figures on the side of it. We hope to return in a year. If you book this place be prepared for no mobile phone signal (on 02 anyway) and slow internet (Not a problem) and unfortunately in our case not a stable internet connection but this would be my only area I would suggest for future improvement in what is a fantastic holiday cottage.

This Mill is perfect for a romantic getaway. After staying in a caravan in Cornwall for the weekend cramped in with the family, we could not wait till we got to the mill and my god it didn't disappoint! As soon as you turn the corner and get first glance of the mill it looks just like a fairy tale absolutely stunning. The owners leave you some bread, milk etc. which was lovely. We cannot fault in the slightest, the walks are amazing (bring wellies it can get very muddy) the hot tub is delightful, I have to say though the bathroom was my fav part with the slipper bath just perfect. Everthing is done to amazing standards literally cannot fault. There is so much to do as you're not far from Worcester city centre you have the best of both worlds the city and the countryside definitely recommend Worcester cathedral, was amaing. Thank you for sharing this stunning place with us.

From the moment you view the Mill nestled in the valley you fall in love with the picturesque tranquility. The cottage is well equipped, very comfortable and well furnished. We loved our stay there and booked to return before we had left. The hot tub is great and the free- standing Victorian bath even better. We found the gentle sound of the waterfall outside our windows just charming. Mike and Belinda have created lovely, well-marked walks in the local woods. I definitely recommend this idyll to anyone seeking absolute peace and quiet. Bring good food ( there are few local shops) and good wine and enjoy.

Set in a stunning location, Mill Cottage is a hidden gem. We have spent the week enjoying beautiful walks around Hanley Mill, visiting quaint little villages and making good use of the fantastic log fired hot tub! Mill cottage is extremely well presented, inside and out! Belinda and Mike are incredibly welcoming and helpful and have made our stay unforgettable, especially with all of the lovely newlywed touches! We can't wait to come back again soon and we will most defiantly be recommending it to our friends and family!

The cottage is beautiful and a very peaceful location. Very remote and have to drive quite a way to pubs/restaurants etc. The décor is also brand new so very modern and received gifts on arrival which was lovely. (milk/eggs/bread) However, If you are booking this on the basic that there is a 'hot tub' included, BEWARE...... The hot tub is a wood burner tub, not electric therefore we had to maintain the fire during our stay if we wanted to use it. This means, you have to stay in all day to heat the water and keep the fire going (stated when we arrived, takes up to 5 HOURS to heat the tub.) After maintaining the fire until late afternoon on the second day, we eventually gave up with the luke warm water, plus had little coal left (you have to BUY additional coal from the owners once you run out, seriously???) The living space is also very tiny, only fitting 2x very small two seater sofas. they are so uncomfortable and definitely not the place to 'relax' and watch a film. With the design they could have invested into a corner sofa meaning you can stretch out and even sit next to each other. Not even a foot stool? :( It was such a shame! Unfortunately on this basis I would not recommend this cottage to my family/friends. Sorry :(
