A beautiful barn in a wonderful location of south Devon, with the added benefit of a great games room entered through a small orchard adjacent to the property, the area is very peaceful yet only a couple of miles drive / walk from Salcombe with some lovely estuary walks nearby, the barn really has everything you could need with two kitchens and every kitchen utensil and pots and pans that you would ever require, there is a private outside area with large barbecue and table that comfortably seats 12, the family who own the barn live next door and are most helpful to any requests you may have.. I would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation to all large groups wanting first class accommodation

11 ofus stayed to celebrate an 80th birthday. We ranged in age from 18months to 80yrs with. 2 dogs. Plenty of space for all. Very well equipped.3 dishwasher in the 2 kitchens. Good sized enclosed garden for barbecues and plenty of space to play in the orchard and games barn across the lane. Beds are very comfortable and bathrooms well furnished. Very clean. In beautiful country side. Short distance to salcombe. Many great beaches. Would recommend the walk to Gara Rock and bolt head. Hope cove is also worth a visit, lovely beach and good places to eat. would love to visit the area again and stay in barn .

Extremely spacious and well appointed large property.. 2 dishwashers upstairs in large kitchen an 1 on ground floor in small kitchen, ideal for when we had a barbecue in garden or large meal upstairs.very well equipped in terms of kitchen equipment. Lovely and clean, made us of private play barn and orchard that was just for our use. Plenty of parking. Beautiful location would recommend visiting hope cove and the beach and north sands and east portlemouth ( accessed by short ferry ride) almost had beaches to ourselves. Enjoyed the walks to Gara Rock and bolt head. So many lovely places to eat. If large group of you are going would recommend a Tesco or Waitrose delivery of all your essentials on first day of holiday. Would love to return at next milestone birthday or anniversary in family. We were 11 people age ranging from 18 months to 80yrs and 2 dogs.

A beautifully presented holiday home, in a superb area, which was just as described.. It was great to have bedrooms which were all of a similarly high standard and spaced well to ensure the privacy of the separate groups. It was particularly good to have the games barn, which we used on several occasions.

What you see is what you get re this property.. The photos are true. An excellent place to stay. Our experience: Follow the instructions to the property that are sent to you with the booking as it will avoid you taking some very narrow lanes. Great parking at the property. Loading and unloading outside the property is easy. The property is immaculate and the owners are on hand to help and advise should you need it. The family are very friendly and live next door. The provision of kitchenware and ovenware is first class. It's so easy to cook indoors and host guests, also the barn layout upstairs works really well for big groups. Three dishwashers and 2 kitchens in the property work well; all the bathrooms are first class. It is warm in the property even without the log burner. Bedrooms downstairs are quiet to sleep in. We didn't get much use out of the games room as it's across the road, but I imagine with small children playing in the field across the road and dogs if you have them, it would be a good place to go particularly in summer. To be honest we couldn't fault this property. Pre book taxis if you need them and restaurants too. Read the information book in the property for ideas of places to go. Take good supplies of food and drink with you and you will have a great time. Date of Stay: February 2019

This property although a little isolated is wonderful.. Fully equipped , clean and warm. Plenty of HOT water. As Family of 11 with ages ranging from 18 months up to almost 80 nothing was overlooked. Thank you Sykes and also the owner of Mill Far.

We booked Mill Barn for our annual Christmas weekend with our friends.. It really exceeded everyone's expectations and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. The main kitchen and living room area was absolutely amazing and the bedrooms were beautiful. We couldn't have asked for anywhere better really - and on top of that the owner Emily was really helpful, accommodating and even welcomed us with a bottle of Prosecco. 5 Star property!

The accommodation and facilities were excellent.. Comfortably accommodated 14 people. The games room and barn for the children were particularly helpful in keeping kids occupied and happy, whilst the large TV, stereo sound and Sky Sports entertained the adults. The underfloor heating was very effective in keeping the spacious main living area warm. Well fitted out to a high standard. Everyone commented on how comfortable the mattresses/bedding were. Great location in the countryside, yet close to Salcombe, with some lovely walks along the nearby beaches and coastline. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is the best large holiday home I have stayed in, and I have stayed in quite a few.. The barn itself is clean, spacious and extremely well equipped with good quality kitchen equipment to make the self catering just like cooking at home. 8 adults plus a toddler and 2 dogs stayed and there was plenty of space to share times together as well as separate areas to relax. The bedrooms were all large and plenty of toilets so no arguing. Owners were really friendly. Would certainly recommend.

Mill Barn was the best accommodation we have ever stayed at, so spacious, a wonderful place for a family & friends to stay, entertain & party.. Set in the beautiful Devon countryside & only a few miles from Salcombe & many other beaches close by. The owners who live in the farm house next door were such lovely people & very helpful throughout our week stay, we shall definitely return.

Stayed here for a family celebration, 2 families and 2 couples and a widow. So for a mix of people in the family the accommodation was perfect. Plenty big enough that everyone could have their own space. High end conversion of barn with underfloor heating, 2 kitchens and plenty of bathrooms as well. Spotlessly clean included pillows, quilts and mattresses with no ominous stains. The owner was lovely and came to make sure we were settling in OK. I can not recommend this place enough, every single box was ticked, there was nothing that hadn't been thought of and they're not charging a hideous amount of money either. I would congratulate the owners on their property and hope everyone who stays in this beautiful property treats it with the respect it desverves. We have already recommended to friends who are booking September 2018.

A beautiful barn in a perfect location, so peaceful and quiet yet 3 miles from Kingsbridge and 3 miles from Salcombe. The barn is a fantastic size for a large family or group of friends. The top floor kitchen area, dining area and lounge area is great place to socialise and yet when in the bedrooms it is quiet and you have your privacy. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we have ever had from pots and pans to tableware and glasses, we never ran out. We will definitely be visiting again.

Mill Barn was the perfect place to have a family holiday. It was so spacious and well equipped. The orchard provided an excellent area for dogs and children to let off steam as well as somewhere to have a BBQ. Owners were friendly and helpful. Ideally placed for shops and beaches. Would highly recommend it.

What a fantastic weekend!! 14 of us stayed in this wonderful Barn in November and had such a brilliant time! Everything about the Barn was fantastic, the decoration, the furniture, the bedrooms and the wood burning fire! The kitchen was kitted out with more equipment than we were even able to use! The kitchen was an amazing social area and the coloured LED lights in the cupboards really excited us all! The living area was so comfortable and big and all the bedrooms were lovely!! The showers in each room were so powerful and we made full use of the games room downstairs! The owners came by to welcome us and were very kind and tolerant- even when we were slightly loud and rowdy in the evenings! It was the best way to spend a 30th Birthday- which was the purpose of our trip and we will definitely be returning! Thank you so much!

12 family members stayed here for a long weekend in April and then 5 stayed on for the week. Beautifully furnished and supplied with every fitting/utensil/appliance you could think of. Comfy beds, spacious bedrooms, ample storage, beautiful bathrooms and a kitchen you would want for your own. With so many of us there, we still had plenty of room and did not feel cramped in any way. Plenty of seating and a table to seat everyone and a few more ! Easy to find and ample parking spaces. Owners live next door and could not have been more helpful. FANtastic place and will look to book again for the next milestone birthday family celebration.
