Area Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the stunning Start Bay coastline, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many popular events such as the annual Dart Music Festival, Dartmouth Food Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta. This historic town boasts interesting landmarks, such as Dartmouth Castle, the Britannia Royal Naval College, and the National Trust’s Greenway House just a short ferry ride away. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through the rolling countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat or ferry trip across to Kingswear, on to Brixham, or down the river to the village of Dittisham. For those seeking sandy beaches, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular beaches just a stone's throw from Dartmouth.
Region Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

This is the second year weve stayed here, we came this year for the music festival and really enjoyed that too.. The house is so lovely and clean and fresh with views to die for, both on the decking at front and 1st and second floor bedrooms.
Its now had an extra bathroom added which is super.
You need to be able to walk up steps 40ish to stay here with an incline before the steps start, so bear this in mind. Parking is in Mayors car park so we arranged a tesco shop and they carried it up steps!
Lovely pub 2 mins away with roof terrace.
Will definitely come again in a couple of years as love the house and Dartmouth.

Lovely position and the views from all floors were terrific.. It’s a house more suited to families who don’t mind sharing a bathroom however. The queue for a shower in the morning was a bit irritating with no en-suite S. I’m sure there would have been room for a shower in the downstairs extension.
Lovely living space for the 6 of us.
