Middle Cottage is a comfortable cottage in High Hauxley, Northumberland. With one double and one single bedroom it sleeps three people. There's also a bathroom on the first floor, along with a kitchen and a sitting room with dining area and woodburner. Outside, there is an enclosed rear garden with furniture plus off road parking for one car. Middle Cottage is a homely, pet-friendly cottage set less than a mile from the beach and the beautiful Northumberland Coastline.

Two bedrooms: 1 x king-size double, 1 x single. Bathroom with walk-in shower, basin, WC and shaver socket. Kitchen. Sitting room with dining area and woodburning stove. Enclosed entrance porches at front and rear.

The village of High Hauxley is situated less than a mile inland from the hamlet of Low Hauxley at the northern end of Druridge Bay, a four-mile stretch of sweeping sand dunes and white sands. Less than two miles away is the small fishing port of Amble, which sits at the mouth of the River Coquet and offers a marina, a harbour, sandy beaches and stunning coastal walks.

Reception by owners was welcoming and helpful.. Cosy feeling about the cottage. Visited old and new haunts. My sister and I, plus my Norwegian Elkhound loved the different beaches and Druridge Bay Country Park. Great area for eating and very dog friendly.

A very well equipped cottage for ourselves and dog, a very warm welcome from the owners, a lovely welcome pack of milk, wine, t-bags, logs for the fire-even the fire laid ready just for a match and fresh flowers on the table.. A fabulous location, set in a quiet area but within reach of all local amenities. 10 minutes walk to the beach, ideal for the dog. A local farm has a vending machine with great fresh milk and cream in glass bottles.Lots of information about the local area, best places to go, best places to eat in a welcome pack folder Do not be surprised by the warm welcome from the friendly locals wherever you go. We have stayed in this area in other cottages for the past four years, but this is by far the must superior cottage we have stayed in - in fact, we returned home yesterday 30th March and have rebooked this morning for same time next year

The owners have thought of every little detail to make our holiday truly one to remember.. All you need to take is clothes and food , there's even a complimentary bottle of milk and wine in the fridge upon arrival. We were that impressed we have booked again for next year .

A very warm welcome from the owners.. Great location with dog friendly beach within a few minutes walk. Ideal base for touring Northumberland coastline. Amble, with a traditional fishing harbour, is on the doorstep. Very close to Druridge bay national park and its vast beach. Highly recommended.

Middle Cottage was extremely comfortable and provided a very well located base for walks with the dogs on the local beach.. The owners were very welcoming and there when we arrived to make sure we had everything and knew where things were. A very nice surprise was the bottle of wine in the fridge! The beds were comfortable and plenty of things to do if we wanted in the cottage. We would highly recommend the cottage. And if we visited Northumberland again would definitely plan to return.

The cottage was well equipped, had a pretty garden and was comfortable and cosy.. However we found it small and thought it would be better suited to a couple with no children or dogs. We had one child aged 9 plus a Labrador. Although the cottage was well equipped in the kitchen, the icing on the cake would have been a dishwasher. The owners Pam & Andy were very welcoming. We enjoyed our time in Northumberland and found plenty to see and do, including catching crabs, two lobsters and a starfish on the beach.

Lovely cottage, flowers, milk, tea coffee, etc and a bottle of wine to greet us on arrival, plus owners talked us through all the facilities, Cottage larger than expected.. Easy to walk to beach (though not the best local one for dogs). Fantastic and quiet beaches for the dogs, which they and we loved. Good nature reserve with hides run by Northumbria Wildlife Trust on doorstep. Could hear the roseate terns on Coquet Island from the dunes. So much to see and do, a week is no where near long enough. Of course, the weather helped. People very friendly and helpful.

What a fantastic cottage and great location, Amble a five minute drive with really good shops and harbour.. Walks and beaches everywhere we loved every minute so did our dog, what lovely people Pam and Andy greeting us on arrival and showing us around and suggesting different places to go.

Lovely area for a holiday.. Short drive and you can be visiting beaches, country park and small villages. The area is great for young children and dogs. We older enjoyed the break as well.

One of the best equipped cottages we have used.. This was a repeat visit and were welcomed by Andy and Pam who are very attentive. The location is quiet and handy for the beach, nature reserve and Amble which is good for supplies, eating out etc. We will be back again, our golden retriever loved it

This cottage was an absolute delight, Pam and Andy left nothing to chance when it came to detail, everything included within the property we only had to bring our clothes and food.. Overall a relaxing place to unwind, in summing up would definitely recommend this if you want piece and quiet.

Fantastically equipped cottage in perfect location.. Within 30 mins of Alnwick, Bamburgh, Morpeth, Craster, Seahouses. 5 mins from wonderful deserted beach which our dog loved every day. I cannot think of anything which was not supplied in cottage. Tea, Coffee, sugar , oil, condiments, Bottle of wine, 4 Pts of milk, ice etc etc and bin bags, foil, cling film, soap, shampoo, bubble bath, wash up liquid and every kind of cleaning product and cloths you could imagine. Excellent instruction manual and conducted tour by the owners when we arrived,Very comfy beds. Altogether a wonderful home from home. Would highly recommend

A lovely cottage in a peaceful location.. The cottage was extremely well equipped and the owners very friendly and welcoming. It was only a ten minute easy walk to the beach so perfect every morning with the dog's. The cottage had a very pretty and totally safe garden for the dogs which meant a relaxing time for us. We thought the property and location were very good, we could not find any faults with the cottage. The owner waited for us to arrive and showed us around the property and explained how every thing worked. Our dogs thought that the cottage location which was close to the beach was great and we spent every day on it. Never visited Northumberland before, was very impressed. Middle Cottage is in a very nice location, easy walk over a field to the sand dunes and the beach good for walking the dog. Very secure garden for the dog, good off road parking. Nice friendly pub a mile away that accept dogs. We will be visiting again.

The cottage is in a perfect location for exploring or just relaxing locally especially with a lovely beach less than ten minutes walk away. Great to see and hear the sea from the cottage.

The attention to detail and thoughtfulness of the owners was really appreciated, with plenty of household items provided. The garden was genuinely dog proof. The beds were very comfortable, the wood burner was quite new and a basket of logs was provided. We loved the easy walking access to the beach and the peaceful location. We would certainly use this cottage again if we visited Northumberland in the future.

The cottage was clean, comfortable, very well equipped and the owners were friendly and helpful. The enclosed garden was great for the dog and also a sunny spot to sit in the afternoons. It was only a short walk to the beach and was also a convenient base for exploring the beautiful coastline and surrounding countryside.
