We have been to St. Palais for the fourth time and this time we wanted to rent a holiday home instead of an apartment. The location (8 minutes walk to the Platin beach) and the beautiful, large garden were great. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were greeted by a damp, musty, smoky smell in the house. In contrast to the photos (very well photographed), the kitchen was a complete disappointment: some of the kitchen furniture dates back to the 70s, and the dishwasher was rusty. The house overall gave an unfortunately unkempt impression.
