Had a lovely relaxing few days away at Meadway House.. The property was very well equipped although the Cleaners had failed to provide enough hand soap and hand towels for our party of 4. Until we went shopping we had to go upstairs to the main bathroom or bring them downstairs to the utility room (my in-laws are elderly and could not manage the stairs several times a day. They did find the mattresses were uncomfortable and the step down from the patio doors was only manageable with help. Maybe a step could be installed? We could not find an outside light for the rear patio to keep an eye on our dog during his late night excursions! However these issues did not spoil our break and we would recommend a stay at Meadway and hope to return in 2021.

As a large family of children with different ages we really enjoyed this spacious, beautifully decorated, super equipped, tip-top clean house and garden, nearly across the road of the North Welch seaside with its mountain bays from both sides with a local Co-op grocery (about 15 min.. walk) and a huge shopping center with all major stores in Llundudno which is only a 10 min. drive away. We had fantastic walks on top of little and great Ormes and a bit further to the penmaenmawr beach. It was a excellent experience for all of us!!!

Meadway House had everything you would want for a very comfortable stay.. They had thought of everything, whether you're staying in or wanting to have a picnic outside. The game room was fantastic, and brought out the competitiveness of most adults in our group. There's plenty of space to cater for both young and old in the group. I would definitely return and stay in Meadway House

Meadway is a large well equipped and very cosy house.. The owners made us feel very welcome. The house is in a good location for touring North Wales and the local shops, bars and restaurants are within walking distance. We would not hesitate in staying at Meadway in the future. We had a great time staying in Meadway House.. The facilities were great and enjoyed our stay. Our only quibble would be that the dryer was not very efficient & the dish washer needs the filter cleaned. Otherwise a great location & beautiful house.

MEADWAY HOUSE is a light airy well equipped property with a homely feel.. The games room is a great facility for keeping kids, big & small entertained. It is in a good location for accessing Llandudno by car and short walk into Ross itself. The perfect place for a family gathering and we would love to be able to revisit it again.

Fantastic weekend away with the family and dog which ticked all our boxes.. Wonderful location, great local walks and close by beach, shops and pubs. The house was ideal for a large group of various ages, with a well equipped kitchen, large dining room, comfortable couches and bathrooms for everyone . Everything was thought of, plenty of local information, towels, bedding, tea, coffee and even cake ! We loved the wood burner and the games room was an added bonus. From the moment we made the booking Joanne kept us fully informed and was extremely helpful. We will definitely return and would highly recommend.

The perfect way to bring in the New Year.. Communication from Joanne prior to the holiday was excellent. When we arrived the house was warm, welcoming and spotless. Prosecco and mince pies for New Years celebrations and milk for a welcoming cuppa. All the age groups had a really great time with plenty of fresh sea air and beach walks just around the corner. Fabulous location and the games room was a real hit. We would love to visit again.

Our family of 3 generations (11 people) celebrated two birthdays over the weekend at Meadway House and loved every minute of it.. The house was immaculate and perfect. So close to the sea, easy walking distance to Rhos and a short car ride to Llandudno. Everything was handled very professionally from the booking to text messages from the owner prior to our arrival at the house. Our 3 year old grandsons were very at home with all the space the house provided. The sports room gave us all lots of fun and being able to all sit around the dining table for meals was a huge bonus. The weekend passed so quickly due to how comfortable we all felt. I will definitely consider rebooking when another occasion requires this type of accommodation.

October 2018
WOW, the house was fantastic, from start to sadly leaving.. The location was great being so close to the sea and only a short, enjoyable walk to Rhos on sea, to the shops and pubs. The kids (and the bigger kids) loved it, especially the games room. The house is huge, great to eat and relax together, my only moan is that we could not light the log burner(I was so looking forward to this!) as the weather was so good! Thanks for helping me celebrate my 50th, a huge success x

Meadway House is exactly as pictured and described with large spacious rooms.. We had 3 generations of family ranging in age from 3 to 60 and there was plenty of space for all. The kitchen especially is really well equipped and lovely touch of cake and milk left in fridge for us. The games room was well used by all and is a great feature of this property. Full of boxed games as well as the bigger things and plenty for adults and children alike. The house is literally just off the seafront and a 10-15 walk to the centre of Rhos-on-Sea where there are shops, cafes, pubs, kids play area and paddling pool. Just 8 minutes drive to Llandudno and 10 minutes to Welsh Mountain Zoo. Would definitely recommend Meadway House and would return ourselves.

The house is lovely.. Plenty of space. We were supposed to be 12 but ended up with just 10. So we were able to spread out. The games room was well used and because there were so many bathroom/toilets no one had to wait. I think we would diffenently do it again. The downstairs bedroom was very welcome. And the extra bed you put in was very good too. Thankyou for the tea, coffee, and cakes on arrival. Very thoughtful. Thanks again. Linda and family xx

My family had a wonderful time at this property, it was ideal for a 4 generation family gathering.. The size of bedrooms with numerous bathrooms, large lounge and dinning room, and great play room works so well. Every room was clean, bright and decorated well. The owners made available stair gates, high chairs and travel cots which was a great help. The property has a great location for walking to the beach and Rhos on sea as well as a short drive to Colwyn Bay and Llandudno.

June 2017
This was a full family break with my wife and dog, both sons and their wives and my granddaughter. We spent a long time selecting the right cottage and Meadway house was definitely it. It is sited virtually on the front so location couldn't be better. The decor sets it as a holiday home with lovely seaside pictures on the walls and curtains with yachts etc fully setting the holiday scene. There is loads of space for everyone and the real highlight is the games room with a quality table football game , an table top arcade video game with all the old favourites including space invaders, pacman and arcanoid. and a selection of other great games. There's also a wi with games but we never actually got to use that. A very important point for us was adequate bathrooms and with 2 en-suite bedrooms, a lovely family bathroom an extra shower and a downstairs loo we were well catered for.

June 2017
The bedroom configurations are great.. and three generations of our family fitted in, with everyone having the space they needed. The number of bathrooms also meant no queuing. The games room is fantastic, and I almost wished for rain as an excuse to use it more. We had a great sunny week in Wales. Highly recommend.

April 2017

January 2017
We were looking for accommodation for a Christmas group of 11 - eight big people and three young children. We chose Meadway for what we saw as the combination of space and flexibility with price. We were not disappointed. If you are looking for a country home in a romantic, scenic location with impressive views, Meadway is not it. Rhos-on-Sea has a suburban feel, being mainly 1930s-ish housing between Colwyn Bay and Llandudno. The house itself fits into that mould perfectly: large and stolid and towny, it could be in Watford or Manchester or Hove. But... if you need a place which can absorb a group of nearly a dozen people, have space for people to lose themselves away from the crowd, all sit round one dining table, with a kitchen fit to feed Christmas dinner to all, and wine glasses and crockery to match, Meadway may be for you. Bedrooms are comfortable, two with en suite, plus an additional large bath/shower room and a toilet downstairs. The sub-family of five (parents with three small girls) found the bedroom-off-a-bedroom arrangement at the centre of the house really helpful - the girls were quiet at the back of the house and had to pass through their parents' room before making mayhem elsewhere. The lounge is roomy enough for 12 people to open presents, watch a film or play a game. The dining room was in proportion, and we had our main meals there. Breakfasts were more spaced out and the eating area in the kitchen could take more than half of us at a time. The big bonus whose value we didn't spot in advance was the games room. TV/video, darts, proper table football were all popular, but it was the retro arcade unit with Pacman and Space Invaders that attracted the younger residents. Great to see my granddaughter enjoying the classics! Locally, there is plenty to do. On foot we explored the beach and the town, looked at St Trillo's tiny church, went to midnight mass at St George's, and the puppet and conjuring show (at the only permanent puppet theatre in the UK) and climbed the Little Orme - a cracking walk on a cold, bright and blowy Boxing Day. By car we went to Llandudno - beachcombing, fish and chips on the prom and all the delights of the pier. That is all very close - and the whole of Snowdonia is on your doorstep if you want to drive a bit further. Communication with the owners was exemplary - texts always had rapid and helpful replies. We felt well looked-after throughout our stay. We will stay again if we have a similar group to look after.

August 2016
The house was beautiful and fully equipped, there wasn't anything we would have needed to bring except for personal things. There is lots of space everywhere in the house, the utility room is well equipped and all in all there was lots of space, there ended up being 9 of us and we were not all huddled up as there is bags of room. There is a lovely bay window on the front bedroom and in the living room, and with a side view of the sea, fantastic.

March 2016
The house was very welcoming and had everything we needed for a winter, weekend break. Everything worked! The house was lovely and warm when we arrived and it was spotless. The log burner was very efficient and made the lounge really cosy in the evening. Meadway is almost on the seafront and within seconds we were able to be on the promenade and walking into the blustery gale with a beautiful wild sea to blow all the cobwebs away. The decoration and the lovely curtains and furnishings made us feel we had come to a home rather that a holiday cottage. We will be back!!
