Mayville House is an mid-terrace Edwardian town house, situated in the centre of Scarborough. The property is set over four floors and sleeps twelve people in five bedrooms, consisting of a king-size double on the first and second floors, two family rooms with three single beds on the second and third floors, plus a twin room on the third floor. The property also has a second floor bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath, a first floor bathroom, a ground floor shower room, a kitchen with breakfast table, a dining room and a first floor sitting room. Outside there's roadside parking in nearby streets and an enclosed yard with furniture. Mayville House is a short walk from the beach and a convenient base for families with lots to see and do in the area.

Five bedrooms: 1 x first floor king-size double, 1 x second floor king-size double, 1 x second floor family room with 3 singles and TV, 1 x third floor twin, 1 x third floor family room with 3 singles. Second floor bathroom with Jacuzzi bath, separate shower, basin and WC. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Ground floor shower room with walk-in shower, basin and WC. Kitchen with breakfast table (seats 4). Utility. Dining room. First floor sitting room.

Area
The seaside town of Scarborough offers original fine buildings, parks and gardens, as well as its historic castle which overlooks the town. North Bay and South Bay provide two superb stretches of golden sandy beaches and lovely coastal walks along the Cleveland Way can be enjoyed.

Region
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

The house is fantastic, perfect for a large group. We were 6 adults and 6 children. Lots of space and good exercise up and down the stairs over 4 floors. The living room on the 1st floor was perfect for our social gatherings,lots of large comfy sofas. Everything in the kitchen possible for cooking,or takeaways just over the road,a Tesco right on the doorstep to. Just perfect we loved it. Very central for everything. We will certainly be back. Thank you Mayville we loved you.

This property had everything you needed, it was beautifully decorated and very spacious! Suited our needs perfectly. I had the chance to meet the owner and he was more than helpful. I was unfortunate enough to be on the top floor of the property and it was a bit of a hike to get to bed but it did mean I definitely got my steps in for the day and had the best views right over to the castle! There was three bathrooms so none of we’re waiting to use them. Overall an amazing stay!!!

Good location, very suitable for a family gathering.. Good communication with landlords. Parking availability was hit and miss and and despite adequate permits being provided one vehicle was parked in local multi storey.

The house is very central, only 10 minutes walk away from town centre.. Tesco Express across the road is a real bonus, no need to take your groceries you can stock up when you get there. Would definitely recommend it, Landlord very friendly and helpful, had a great time.

I think the star rating of 4 was too high.. I would rate this at a 3. The beds in the top floor are extremely uncomfortable and the floors very dirty and stained in places.

Everything was easy, easy to pay, no hassle, always contactable and Mayville house was exceptional.. I took a party of 12 on a stag do, loads of room very clean and comfortable, would definatly recomend this property.

First, everyone was lovely about the extra person, which we hugely appreciated.. Secondly, the owners were delightful and it was a pleasure to meet Stewart, who was incredibly helpful and friendly. We were very impressed with the property, which was spotless. Apart from a dining room chair which needs mending, and a shower-head that slipped, everything worked really well. But these are minor issues next to the brilliant fridge freezer, the huge dining room table and the great bedrooms. It was hot when we arrived but opening the windows aired the house out very quickly. The parking was easily sorted and no one (4 cars!) was more than 3 minutes walk away. We thought the house was well placed and it was a short and interesting stroll to either beach. We would definitely come back. The whole exercise could not have been easier.

We needed a large house and this was perfect ! It was so comfortable and spotlessly clean.Help was at hand from Stuart to deal with mind -boggling tv controls in main room. Bedroom tv's were much simpler !!The position was ideal for food and holday shopping and a healthy walk to sea front. Scarborough is splendid for family holidays.

Excellent property in very convenient position.. Slight downside in that it was on police/fire/ambulance route but children found it exciting ! House was so big and comfortable and spotlessly clean. Will certainly recommend it.

What a fantastic, spacious house, decorated to a high standard. As a family of 9 we all loved the 3 bathrooms and the finishing touches. The jacuzzi bath was a favourite for us all. The fact that we could take our 2 dogs away with us was an added bonus. All in all a superb house with lovely owners, we will return, thank you.

This house is perfectly located for easy access to all Scarborough has to offer. Parking passes included and the owner has thought of everything to help you feel at home. Stayed here for a week over half term with my family (8 adults, 4 kids) and very pleased we chose Mayville. Highly recommended.

Excellent large holiday house, situated in the heart of Scarborough, within walking distance of whole resort. Plenty of room for our 8 adults/4 children family half term get together. The house was in excellent condition through out very welcoming, spacious and we all loved the extra touches like lovely, white, fluffy towels and crisp, clean bedding. It was situated in the heart of Scarborough, with plenty of shops, restaurants, supermarkets etc on are door step which was ideal as we was there over the Christmas and New Year so we had several lovely meals out in the local restaurants. We would recommend to family and friends and will definitely be returning in the near future. Thank you!

There is a good central heating system, and a large screen TV. All appliances are new and the standard of decoration and flooring are fantastic. Very clean and the Christmas decorations were a good touch. All the family had a great time. We will use again.

The standard of the accommodation was excellent. The spa bath was enjoyed by all the family. We had a really relaxing break away and the owners kindly let us leave at our own convenience on check out day. This was extremely helpful because it allowed us to breakfast and pack without having to rush. A thoroughly enjoyable stay!
